Latest Google Panda Update 2.5 [21-1-2012]

Basically Google doesn't want you running ads and making money while they stuff their own search pages with ads above the fold, right on top above the organic listings and all the way down the right hand side. It's also ok for Google to blend the ads to make them look like normal results but you better not try that or it's ban time on your Adsense account. Make sure your ads are well out of site and don't offend your visitors. Google would prefer it if you would remove the ads completely to improve user experience.

And don't you dare run a directory site and charge sites for a premium position either. Google are not allowing you to make money that way either.

And if you run an ecommerce site say selling 25,000 car parts you better make sure you write a 500 article about every item you sell other wise your shop looks like it's full of duplicate content and it's bye bye for you while Google shoves a mind numbing Wikipedia article in spot 1. Which no f*cker ever clicks on.

In fact you shouldn't be monetizing your websites in any way and should 301 your sites straight to Google's home page and let them handle the money.

Bitter......me, never..... I even sent Matt Cutts a pie for Christmas as he looks like he ate all the pies :D

Well said! Google has gotten greedier and greedier, they are now trying to maximize all revenue and taking advantage of smaller blog and news sites, without having to pay them any more but rather less. They still claim to pay a certain percentage but the clicks have gotten fewer and the ranking has gotten lower. My blog is nowhere near the top of search engines even being in google news! I see duplicate articles from AP that are from LA Times and Nytimes, usatoday that are 100 percent duplicate yet they are indexed in google news and on top of searches for certain terms. What is hypocritical is Google said NO Duplicate content allowed, yet if you try to post a duplicate article it will not appear in google news if you are index there, but the big news corps can post any duplicate and it will even show up on the top search.

google claims that if you post tons of original WELL written content without spam you will rank higher, its BS. I have many well written articles by various bloggers on my google news site and still LA Times, NY Times, Huff post, etc all get favorable positioning and yet they post the same AP news article and yet they dont get punished for duplicate content! its because these corporations make them money so they only punish the smaller bloggers.

My earnings have dropped badly. I used to make at least 25=50 dollars a day, now I make $1.50-2.50 a day.

While I'm not a fan of Google, you're going overhead here mate. Internet becomes larger everyday and the competition becomes more fierce. Of course you earn less, there are other people eating from your pie. I eat from your pie for example, why shouldn't Google eat as well?

I've been in google news for a while. Not until the google panda update did I see a drop. The biggest complaint was google news spammers who took advantage of google news to spam articles and get clicks. what happened is the honest news bloggers like myself had to suffer with the update and now our earnings have been reduced significantly.

Google news only puts up the big news corps ie USAtoday, Ny times, even these content farms like huff post, bleacher report etc.

I am not going overboard here, because I have studied the rules and seen the bias, many of these big sites that bring in tons of revenue I am not the only one complaining of unfair issues, millions of bloggers and smaller news sites are.

FTC is still on Google for Antitrust issues.

(Reuters) - U.S. regulators looking at whether Google manipulates its search results to favor its own products have expanded the probe to include Google+, the search giant's new social networking tool, a source familiar with the probe said on Friday.
Google+, which was launched in June, offers many of the capabilities available on Twitter and on Facebook.
Google announced on Tuesday new features aimed at making search results more personalized. As part of the changes, photos and posts from Google+ will increasingly appear within the search results.
A Google spokesman, however, said that the Federal Trade Commission had not asked about Google+ or indicated it was looking into the new social network as of this week.
Google has been broadly accused of using its clout in the search market to shut out rivals, like travel search, by putting them low in search results. The source said that the FTC was roughly in the middle of what could be an extended probe.
The Federal Trade Commission declined comment. Bloomberg earlier on Friday reported the expansion of the Google probe, citing two people familiar with the situation.
The Electronic Privacy Information Center had asked the FTC this week to look at Google's decision to include information from Google+ in Google's search results.
Twitter had also protested the change. Twitter's general counsel, Alex Macgillivray, a former Google executive, said in a Tweet on Tuesday that Google's changes "warped" Web searches and represented a "bad day for the Internet."
Google said Friday that it believed including Google+ in search results was good for users. "We believe that our improvements to search will benefit consumers by better surfacing social content, and the great thing about the openness of the Internet is that if users don't like our service they can easily switch to another site," the company said in a statement.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Google seems to be trying to find a way to break it. I don't think competitors like Bing will have to worry much longer, Google seems determined to shoot themselves in their foot.

Google need to make a download section
With they own "friendly" wordpress templates
I have only unique worpress template created by me,user friendly and i have lost 50% of my traffic without any reason

Google has such a monopoly over US search engines that it will take as long as Microsoft took to overcome.

naaaah don't do that, this way the complete page won't be indexed.
