How to make glossy flyers?

Hey guys,

How do I make a glossy/high quality flyer?

They are the best for glossy cards, club flyers, brochures, etc. They also have the best prices.

The only way I can think of is to print using a photopaper which is expensive. Best to go with a printing company.

You can order them UV coated 14 pt stock or higher like postcards

To save money definitely order in bulk and try a local printing company or possibly an online company.

When dealing with local companies, remember to take tax into consideration as well when it comes to the final cost as a lot of the online printers don't charge tax (you are technically still responsible for the sales tax on the transaction however, if I'm not mistaken). But you do have the advantage of maybe negotiating a little bit especially if you're doing bulk.

Also, a lot of the larger online printers send free samples, that should give you an idea of the quality in relation to the price. You can also see other products they print and it'll give you some ideas.

There's the advantage of getting it right away, if printing locally, though. If a print job is something I can plan for, I'll do it with gotprint. If it's something that needs a faster turnaround (2 days or so), I'll do it locally.

I think that having it printed is the cheapest and Vistaprints got the cheapest so far but it's not glossy but its "100 lb. paper with aqueous coating".

I think I will try Vista Prints. I've tried them b4 but it's another type of material.

Is it worth to make such high quality flyer ?
I believe the content and the design or the message from the flyer is much more important than the quality of flyer.
People will not look on your flyer longer because of your flyer quality is better compare to other.

True, design is more important than the quality of the paper, but the paper says something about the design. If you have an amazing design on cheap paper in faded black and white, it makes everything look cheap. By the same token, high quality printing won't save a terrible design. But a great design deserved great paper.

I'm all about doing things right but if you've just started, you might not have enough cash.

Why not hire a sales guru to collaborate with the designer so that the flyer actually works while your at it.

Order high gloss and UV coating flyers online

It's called a UV coating, some printers will not print with that coating because "it's bad for the environment." VistaPrint is definitely not the cheapest around. I've managed to get a wholesale account with a company that will do 1,000 biz cards, full color both sides, UV coating both sides, 14 or 16 pt card stock with shipping included (US) for $35.
