What probability is the SOPA & PIPA bills to get passed? Will these bills get passed or not?

If I had a billion dollars, I'd bet all of it that neither SOPA nor PIPA will get passed anytime soon.

Because of the big sites doing the blackout, it's spread like a fucking wildfire. Talk about it even popped up on a hip hop/rap radio station today which I didn't expect. It's finally getting the widespread attention it deserves. I highly doubt it will pass.

The bill didn't allow the DHS or DOJ to just seize a website it still mentioned that they have to get court order to seize,just like what they can do now. Yet everyone is acting like a seizure order is final,and forgets that there is an appeals process.

What ICE did was NOT legal - remember the 250,000 sites they took down that had NOTHING to do with infringing material/products? Oh ye...Lost business THANK YOU US GOVT.

Court order to seize => Find a judge that's "recommended" (paid off) by the MPAA and you will get it.

Appeals process => So you're going to start appealing AFTER your site has been taken down and your business has been taken away? Your site will never be the same after 6 months.

...This is called dictatorship.

I don't think it matters, it won't make a lick of difference. The bill has the power to severely change the internet. Whether that is the intention or not, the power is there, and it shouldn't be.

Not to mention if people let this bill pass, it's only opening the door for more.
