Hey BHW, I saw a lot of people talking about micro niche sites, I searched a little bit, and to my understanding it's like this? :

Niche site: Porn site
Micro niche site: Lesbian site

Niche site: Hentai site
Micro niche site: Tentacle hentai site

If that's not what a micro niche is, would you please explain?

Thanks in advance. :)

micro niche site usually target one keyword have 1.5k+ exact search that easy to rank with cpc $1 with one article related with the keyword , that's what i know about MNS

about your example :Niche site: Porn site
Micro niche site: Lesbian site

i think you don't got the idea , MNS should more specific and lower competition .

Yes. You've got it. Say loosing weight and how to loose weight naturally would be the mns

So a MNS would be if it's: Lesbians that lick ass, would have like 2 posts, like 4000 exact monthly keyword searches, and 1$+ cpc?

In an adult example adsense wouldn't be allowed so CPC is moot.

You would typically start by doing keyword research to discover a keyword that meets certain criteria. #1 is volume of searches, #2 is cost per click, or commercial viability (is it a buying keyword or a junk traffic keyword?), and #3, how difficult is it going to be to rank for that keyword vs competition?

It isn't black-and-white on the criteria. You will need to use some intuition regarding whether the keyword is branded (if so, people are using Google as a shortcut to the branded site and you won't get any clicks), whether the keyword is a buying keyword (if someone is searching for "lesbians that lick ass", they're searching for free porn tubes -- just about the worst kind of converting traffic you could ever imagine), and the ability to judge your competition in the top 5 to know whether you could actually rank above them or not.

One of my most profitable keywords is about 4 variations of a certain keyword (plural and synonyms) that total only around 2k exact a month combined -- it just converts like crazy with high profit margins, but individually the highest exact search is only 880.

Keyword research seems to be a real art, and I'll confess I'm not an expert in it. I pretty much slung a bunch of mud at the wall and saw what stuck (and wasted some time).

Next time I need a bunch of profitable keywords, I'll be headed to the BST thread and buying keyword research. I think for $10 you can get an EMD .com, .org or .net availability plus a 2k+ exact $1+ cpc provided.

Wow! Thanks @phpbuit! amazing explanation, and it's definitively gonna help me in the future!
