I ordered a link package way back on December 1st. Secondeye just PM'd me and asked for my review. I was being nice by not leaving one, but as the saying goes, "he asked for it!"
Delivery was extremely slow. So slow that it was too late to benefit my Christmas-related keyphrase! As I recall, it took over two weeks for delivery and I think it was going on three. When I checked my PM record just now, I see I contacted him about the slowness on the 9th of December. Well, it was over a week after that before I actually got the links.
I began to check the rankings. For about a week, AFTER CHRISTMAS, the main keyphrase bounced up to around #12, as I recall. Needless to say, I didn't get click the first, since nobody is looking for "Xxx xxx FOR CHRISTMAS" - after Christmas.
Out of a morbid need to see Murphy's Law play out the rest of the way, I kept checking as January rolled around. I was fully expecting it to top out in the first week of Jan.
Instead, it fell below #100, and then disappeared from the SERPs entirely.
It has not returned.
The only good to come of this order is that another page on the site, about something completely different, has begun to rank. I didn't do anything to that page, so I figure some link juice has managed to bleed over through the nav.
I can't blame Secondeye for Google sucking and being random. Google does that to me a lot. The last time I ordered a package from him, months ago, the results were much better and stayed longer before losing their punch - even though that order was for a much more competitive keyphrase.
I can and do, however, blame him for being ridiculously slow. "Whenever" is not an acceptable timeframe for delivering an order.
