Ron Pauls vs NDAA / SOPA

I've been blasting Ron Paul videos on Twitter using Tweet Corporate software for two weeks before the Iowa Caucus ...

Then a few days later I saw this video:

I'd like to think I influenced that a little bit haha.

I will go out on a limb here, and say that I honestly think Ron Paul would probely be WORSE for America than most people think.

Though I do agree with him on some things (mostly his domestic views), his polices and stance on certain issue's is WAAAAYAYYYY to polarizing, and his extreme views on non-interventionist foreign policy is frightening.

I take a more centralist stance, so anything taken to its extreme fucks with me a bit (like the SOPA bill), whether that comes from repub, democrat, conspiracy theorist, or libertarian.

Most of Pauls voter base is internet suave, so OFCOURSE he's gonna OWN twitter, and yahoo comments, and youtube, and etc.

Thats a given, you guys should have seen this coming!

It just reminds me too much of this.

Good evening, London. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of the everyday routine, the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration - whereby those important events of the past, usually associated with someone's death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, are celebrated with a nice holiday - I thought we could mark this November the fifth, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat.

There are, of course, those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now orders are being shouted into telephones and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there?

Cruelty and injustice...intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance, coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those who are more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable. But again, truth be told...if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War. Terror. Disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you and in your panic, you turned to the now High Chancellor Adam Sutler. He promised you order. He promised you peace. And all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

If Ron Paul doesn't win the Republican nomination and ends up running as an Independant, who will you vote for?

Have to agree with you ... there are way too many crazy a'holes in the world and to play "hands-off" just doesn't make much sense.

Plus he is not electable to 1600 and is just taking up 02 in the Pres Primary

I'm also an avid supporter of Ron Paul. Do I think he'll win? No. Why? Because sad to say, the majority of his supporters are young. Lots of them are too lazy to go out and do what needs to be done...VOTE.

Now, I have a legitimate thought for you though. If he were actually to win, do you actually think that congress will just be like..."Sure, let's just dump the Federal Reserve...and the IRS as well!" He'll be fought so hard, it's ridiculous.

Here's the other question. If he were to get into the White house...What's going to happen if he's actually successful in implementing his revolutionary ideas and then someone else is voted into office in 4, or best case scenario 8 years? Since he's one of a kind, I think we'd be worse off at that time. The new president would have to start from scratch on rebuilding all the stuff that Ron did away with. Just my opinion.

That same reasoning could have been said four years ago when Obama was polled to receive not only the young vote, but also the African American vote. If these two groups did not show up I think it is safe to say that he would not be in office today.

If the younger generation did it once, they can do it again.

I think it's a little different. My 75 year old Grandma voted for Obama. There were a lot of people pissed off at Bush, they wanted something different.

I'm not saying it can't happen. I voted for Ron Paul. I just think that he would be a harder sell to most people, as his ideas stray from the norm.

I agree with that statement as right now we can only speculate as to what will happen.

RP is the only man that makes 100% sense and is ignored for it. The kicker is, no Republican candidate can win the nomination without RPs support. No one will have enough delegates. So what will happen when the Repub convention rolls around?

The Republicans will huddle together and pick any random Republican they feel like to be the candidate. That could be anyone..and even JEB BUSH.

Just imagine that madness.

Ron Paul is THE man. I voted for him on "Super Tuesday." Only he and Romney were on the ballot!

Ron Paul reminds us that before the early 1900s, we didn't have an income tax. In fact, before the bank pushers got the amendment, the Supreme Court repeatedly struck it down as unconstitutional.

He also realizes that countries don't hate America's freedoms, they hate the military industrial complex, which butts into their business, like how the US supported both sides in the Iran-Iraq war.

He's also (to my knowledge) the only presidential candidate where American Veterans marched on DC in support of him!

Is Ron Paul a 9/11 Truther?

Ron Paul is good on government control of the internet, but not on corporate control. Comcast, Verizon, etc can do whatever they want in Ron Paul's world.

He's not for net neutrality and a protected open internet. Corporate power is arguably greater than government power in the US, and sometimes you need the latter to keep the former in check.

I would like to know more about how he is not good when it comes to cooperate control. And what did you mean by saying ' he's not for net neutrality?' Internet neutrality?

thx
