Girlfriend Keeps Putting Me Down - Feeling Demoralized

Dumping a girl whom you have invested so much time, money and emotion is easier said than done.

Sometimes you just have to take your loses before you get deeper. ;)

Listen sounds like both you and her are selfish. She wants time with you, she doesnt get it she throws a fit and insults you.

You want time for IM, she asks you out, you turn her down.

Maybe the best thing IS to break up, you refuse to spend time with her anyway.
If thats the case let he go find some mandingo that can give her a proper Hammering from time to time and would like to go have drinks with her once in a while.

Meanwhile you can stay in your room playing online all day. If you have a business this would be the time to grow it. BUT you have to set aside time to live your life too.

Go and get your money, but dont make your life all about money.
Money is simply a tool to be able to purchase the things you would like and the things you would need in order to have a nice life. If all you do is chase money, you will never have a full life nor feel happy.

Quoted for truth, probably the first normal response I've read so far. You need to keep investing in a relationship for it to work, if you don't want to that it's doomed to fail.

F... the 'disregard women, acquire currency' kids by the way.

Why are you still with her? Is she the only woman in the world?
A good woman should inspire your, recognize your passions and support you when you go for it. Should help you move forward and not to hold you back.

Make yourself a new year resolution and get rid of the baggage that is holding you back in life. Live your passions and women will show up out of nowhere.

But most importantly, start to work on your self steam, so you can put yourself first.

You don't need another half, because you are whole! A good woman is just icing on the cake.

Stand up dude!

Trust me nothing is more satisfying than nailing your X, showing her a bank statement with 400k in there and then telling her your off to Antigua for 3 weeks on Saturday.

Probably you can added a little extra word.. Im off to Antigua with new girl for 3 weeks... lol :D

That was her next question, I didnt want to crush her spirit any more than I already did, so I said "just a friend".

She added me on Facebook. Then after 5 hours deleted and blocked me. So Im guessing she got sick of trolling my photos and updates getting green with envy.

If you have that sort of mindset, you'll continue to make mistakes in life. You're basically saying that you have the ability to realize when you've made a mistake, but you choose to continue digging deeper and deeper, instead of recognizing your mistake and coming up with a solution.

That's the problem. Guys don't break up with shitty girlfriends because they think, "oh hey, I've been with her for 2 years, if I break up with her now, I've wasted all that time". Horrible way of looking at things.

This is the type of guy I am: I realize I've made a mistake, I come up with a solution ASAP. Life is too short.

Most of the posters here got it right, just need to be more humane. A girl who acts the way the OP described should be spanked, or dumped, or spanked and dumped. Before even being with a girl longer than 2-3 months, I've said elsewhere, you should have a SERIOUS conversation about sex and life planning to straighten out any differences, before it gets "been living together for a year" complicated.

Okay, maybe she needs more attention and appreciation, but she's living with you, and she should appreciate that. A woman needs attention and affection, but you as the man need approval and acceptance. If she won't hold up her end of that eternal male-female bargain, to support your lifestyle and psyche, you don't have to pay attention to her nagging. Tell her politely but firmly, 'there's the door.'

Well said!

If she is like that right now. And maybe down the road you want to marry her. I am telling you leave now cause it only gets worst after you are married. Women are from a different planet and they are on a different wave length. I would say leave now. Concentrate on what you are doing and i bet you will find somebody that will respect you for what you do later on. LEAVE NOW.

While I do IM, she hates it that I am on here and she usually ridicules me and puts me down.

No reason to stay with someone that ridicules and puts you down. It will only get worse as time goes on.

But also realize that you have to give in a relationship, too. So, in your next JV...I mean, relationship...learn from this and give a bit more of your time. But only when you're ready for a relationship.

As somebody said here, dumping someone that you have invested so much time in is hard, but... it has to be done. I have spent a third of my life in relationships with less than ideal girlfriends, probably because I do not like being alone. I managed to get free eventually, and now I managed to hook up with the lady of my dreams, that fucks like a pro, turns everybody's heads, and treats me like I'm the man of her dreams. If I had been single before, I could have hooked up with this ideal woman the first time I met her, about 8 years ago. So my advice... dump her.

A very few serious answers here. Lots of people chiming in with misogynistic bullshit that ain't helping you...

I would say firstly!

WAKE UP

Sounds like she's not

  • supportive
  • respectful
  • loving
  • the kind of person you want to spend your life with
  • mature
  • evolved
  • etc

Point being, time to move on...
You need someone that appreciates what you're putting out in to the world, and is in sync with the direction your life is taking.

The right partner should bring out the best in you, not drag you down...

The writing is on the wall dude.....

Good luck with it all...

It helps if you have a common goal, like obviously there is a reason you want to work so much on this project, you want to, as people have stated before, acquire currency. It sounds like she is still in party mode, and there is nothing wrong with going out with your gf once a week or so just for a little bit, doing something she wants to do. It sounds like she wants to spend time with you, but your work is getting in the way of that.

You're not giving her what she wants, and while you will never be able to give a woman everything that she wants, or exactly what she wants, you should be able to go about 95% of the way without much of a problem, and women will love you for it. To me, it sounds like you are putting work ahead of your relationship, which is not going to work for your relationship.

Now with all of that being said, she is pretty much completely in the wrong. If her actions and words are affecting you that badly, and you let her know that, and she still treats you like that, it means she has no respect for you. She thinks that if she nags and bitches enough, you'll do what she says. You're going to have to be firm with her and make some sort of compromise if you want it to work out if either of you can't commit to that, then it is best to just end it right now.

Just wondering is the house in your name or her name? Because I am really hoping its in your name, if it is, let her down easy, she will probably want to go stay over somewhere else that night, and it most states, if your name isn't on the lease or the mortgage, you have to have slept there 14 or 21 consecutive nights in order for it to be your primary residence, this starts over when one night is missed. Usually, if she tries to come back the next day and act like its her house, even though you are broken up, you can call the police and they'll escort her out.

If its her name on the papers, then just move out, its not worth the headache. If both of your names are on the papers, most of the time, if you both agree to it, the bank or landlord will take one of your names off of the lease/mortgage. However, the bank probably won't let you take off one of you if you or her earn significantly more than the other. They want it to keep being paid off, if you earn way more, you should be good, if not, then you might be out of luck.

Of course she might play the bitch here and refuse everything and technically, you can't kick her out. What you can do though is call the police if she ever brings anyone over and tell them that you don't want them on your property. That will get old after about once, and she'll be ready to move out. Of course she can do this to you too, but if all you do is work, you don't have much to worry about.

It's called Karma dude, that's what you get for stealing money from me and I'm sure others. Enjoy your new life on the streets.

I just can't take it about relationships anymore. There's no point and mostly will be waste of time. Be a player and keep it casual, hookup here and there. Build your lifestyle around other aspects, not women and let go. If you have a list women should come 5th or 6th in it. GTG
