You made the right decision buddy.

So how is life now? Did you make some $$?
What happened to her?

Was reading this thread & figured I'd ask about an update

And a year later people are giving advice, yet they cant look at the dates of the thread and see its over a year old.

Probably not someone I would take advice from.

Next time - try the don't ever ask me about my business method!

I've been with my girlfriend for several years and we've been living together for one. I pay bills, help out with groceries, take her out to dinner, and all that stuff. While I do IM, she hates it that I am on here and she usually ridicules me and puts me down. I am working on some big projects I am passionate about, like I put a sleeping bag in the office so that I don't miss a beat of the work.

She gets pissed off and wants me to go down to her parents, or go bar hopping with her and her friends. I usually decline so I can get work done, save money for our place and so forth. Right now I have had about enough. I almost feel at the verge of defeat with her. My project is several months late and my competitors have at least a few week head start on me. I move passed my thoughts that if I didn't spend so much time with her, I would be further along. However, I try to find a balance between work and my relationships (her and my family, etc.)

Now she puts me down, always points out negativities and doesn't respect me. So I am planning on moving out (big step). For at least a month, or maybe permanent. Just had enough of her shit. Anyways, I'm venting a bit but if any of you guys have thoughts, I'd love to hear.

Stop being a nerd, relax and head out with her and have fun, right now she looking at you like a soft ass geek.

what happens if whatever you working on doesnt work out like you want, you gonna look more dumb.

PS: you move out for a month you gone, she moving on as it sounds she doesnt even like you lol, she a female who like to go out and have fun and party and you seem like a hermit, and seems like she doesnt want to be with you anyways.

I really think you may be working too much!
Hell... But that's what it takes in this business. You have to work hard until you can have the passive income you need to finally rest.

I know that is kind of incompatible with having girlfriends and that kind of stuff. I personally have a wife (the second) and two sons. I know it's hard!

My advise is really simple.
If you really want to go this path, or she's in or she has to be out.

Wish you the best,
Pinter

closed fist is assault.. open fist is discipline.. can't believe he got so many thanks for that post..

I think at this stage he's soundly broken up with her. Don't go back. Don't look back. watch the movie 'Swingers' like 10 times and drink vodka if you still miss her... and then (for the next girl), make sure you find someone that also has 'her thing'... meaning something she's passionate about and likes to do (as a hobby or as an avocation) while you're doing IM... which absolutely DOES require a lot of time. Girls like that are WINNERS, because they have a sense of who they are OUTSIDE of a relationship, and they are somewhat self-sufficient and happy,... with (of course) just the right dose of being needy for their man from time to time (after all, love is a powerful gravity, no?)

It is a hard mix to find in a girl. That is true. But they exist.

And there are always warning flags of incompatibility with someone who has no goals. One of them I read here was, "just wants me to go bar-hopping with her and her friends." - I'm all for bar hopping, but I rarely do it. why? I am too busy making money, and then when I DO go out bar hopping with significant other, it isn't to shitty loser bars. It's to the VIP Room of LEVEL or some other Miami club and I order f*cking champagne and 120 yr aged Bourbon. Or I'm chilling backstage at a concert with the band and my 1000usd premier club tickets, etc. Or we're jetting off to Cabo or New York etc.

THAT's what a woman will respect. You just have to find one that's patient enough and has a good head on her shoulders and realizes that making real money takes time, but the REAL rewards are worth it!

It will never be cool between the two of you so don't bother. Yeah it may be hard at first but in the long shot there's no point in torturing one another when it's clear that you just don't match up very well.

Leave her. There are other women out there that respect a working man more. I found my match finally and she works with me full time in the IM scene now. Glad I didnt stick around for the other girls who seriously just wasted my time.

Heh, I already have enough shit figuring out google's algos and how to capitalize on my current project. Last thing I need is to figure out some girls' brain algo.

I got 99 problem but a bitch ain't 1.

I think perhaps it's time for the two of you to take a little break.

I suggest you one thumb up to her. I do think that you should take a break from that relationship. Let her grow up emotionally and maybe she'll realize what she lost. You're too young to know that she is the one for you for good. You have enough time to find another compatible person to be with you for a long long time.

Good luck!

guys stop answering the OP, he hasn"'t logged on for years

Rent a cheap office space, work 8 hours a day just like a regular full time job. To her it will look like your just any guy with a job if you just step out of the house.

Also, time management. Imer's tend to work when they want to work, and that's that. Schedule your working hours and put in a solid 8 hours 5 days a week.

What would she have to complain about then? You'd be home by 5 or 6 and be around on the weekends.
