Anything that imposes one persons mindset upon another is oppression, and anything that oppresses more than one person is tyranny. Does pirating things hurt people? Yes, does it have to be policed? No. "Entertainment" or "art" shouldn't be the chief industry of mankind, especially since it has been corporatized into oblivion. Good people will always pay for what they love, my movie collection of legit blurays and dvd's has supported all the artists I love. To maintain the hollywood and TV industries we should not have to be oppressed, and that's what this BS is all about.

If the course of law passing were left to logic alone we would not even have such a bill been drawn, however logic has no place in modern politics. They see exactly what they want to see, the green it is putting in their pockets. Honestly I think lobbying should be illegal and nobody from a corporate background should ever be allowed into politics and vice versa, those 2 simple laws would clean up the "democracy" we live in.

No doubt then, if your intention is noble that is good. However always remember that life is made better by education and not policing of thought and action. People wouldn't need to steal and sell drugs if they were properly educated and free to explore the things they love as their work.
