Hello. While i want to get into SEO, i am writing articles on fiverr to raise funds. Now ive got a predicament. Ive been messaged by a guy wanting 300 articles of 300 words for a mere 125-175 dollars. To me this seems awfully cheap, anyone here know what a fair price would be? Thanks!

It should be minimum of $3-4 per article.. If you are getting bulk order of 300 articles then you can talk about $2-3 per articles..

Never. That is FAR too low. Don't do it. I mean, unless your life depends on that $125 - $175 dollars. I assume you're a native English speaker. Even for a non native English speaker, I feel like that's far too low.

Think of the quality you'd be getting with the articles being that cheap. Are they 100% unique? Personally, I wouldn't pay for them if they weren't.

What he's offering you is obviously a way too small sum but may I ask you what you normally charge for one 300 word article?

:joke: is it...... :wt: I can't believe that someone can think of paying so less to writers. I think that guy does not belong to this world only, that's the thought thing which is coming to my mind right now.

$1 per 100 words needs to be your basic rate but if you are highly proficient in writing articles, then I would suggest you to go for a better pay rate. Remember always that no one can pay us so low until we agree to work on a low rate. Cheers :)

BTW a good wroter charges 3 - 5$ per 300 words articles . Also its normal prices on forums .

Even if your English is horrible (which it doesn't seem to be), that price is just way too low. I'd pass, if I were you.

I'm amazed at what some people request, really.

Definitely not worth it!!

Look at it this way:

300 articles x 300 words = 90,000 words

$175.00 / 90,000 = $0.0019 per word

So, less than 2/10 of a cent per word is not worth it no matter where you live.

Yeah thanks for the advice. Told him i would do 600$. On the bright side i woke up this morning with 5 orders :)

Congrats!! Did you have some sort of funnel set up so that you can upsell them more articles if they were pleased with your work?

For instance, when you deliver their work, give them the link to your website where you offer your pricing for articles. That way you could still charge the 5 dollars per article and avoid the fiverr fees, as well as gain some steady clients.

Just a thought, in case you weren't already doing it.

post on odesk, you'll get at least 20 responses, you'll figure out what to do after that. :)

Hell no OP, unless you just spin the articles to hell and back, then it's worth it.

You should be looking at >$900 if you price them individually...Maybe give a bulk discount if you're super generous. But $150 is criminal and unprofessional to even ask for. Either the guy buying is new to this, or he's disrespecting you by asking for sweat shop labor.

I agree with him!

$175.00 / 90,000 = $0.0019 per word

Go with $1 per 100 words. That's the standard rate in the market. Also do remember you are losing $1 on per gig, so you gotta do lil calculation and make your pricing accordingly.

People on Fiverr are retarded.. Tell him to FO. If you have a decent writing you can ask anywhere from 0,80-1,50$ per 100 words

The offered price is very low. As it is in bulk amount you can reduce the article rate to minimum $2 per article. Not less than that. For a non-native article writer, it is a very low amount. Or you can deliver low quality article at the price he suggested. :D
