Are redirects still usefull for SEO?

I found a couple of websites that allow you to post links in your profile. They are ********, but it isn't a standard HREF, it uses redirect. Is this still useful for SEO?

If its a 301 redirect it's good because it passes link juice.

You guys don't understand what he is asking.

In some profiles when you insert link in front of link appears redirect and I can say that these links are worthless because most of them breaks link and redirects you nowhere.

If it is redirect for your links. So it is no useful for SEO. Google won't count them as backlinks.

Nothing is better than this kind of backlink. If seriously, this link doesn't count.
