My guess is that someone bot flagged his videos to death to trigger the automatic ban. The strange thing is that they don't have in place restriction for automatic ban for huge partner like him, maybe is a bug of the new interface?

But he has been doing =3 for years, I guess until now he should have collected way more than just 3 copyright strikes...I'd be shocked if they aren't going to reinstate him by the end of the day.

BTW: I'm in no way defending him or anything, since I understand why other legit YT partner are angry with him using other people videos. It's just that from a business point of view to me it seems a huge mistake from Youtube.

So it sounds like he was cheating with likes/faves/views/etc. If it was a copyright strike, I believe it would have been a different message (it will say "due to copyrights" or say which company took him down).
