Can you crack it? - MI6 Competition crack the code

This has nothing to do with MI5 or MI6. It's GCHQ -- Government Communication Headquarters.

For americans:

MI6 = British CIA
GCHQ = British NSA
MI5 = I don't think you really have an equivalent. MI5 can operate on British soil unlike the CIA on american soil. I'm not sure if MI6 can operate on British soil though.

I don't think you have an equivalent to an MI5, maybe the FBI is the closest, but they're not really the same thing.

The CIA indirectly works on American soil,they will send someone to advice a local police department such as the NYPD for intelligence gathering.

Are there really people that think being loyal to their country is more important then money?:18:

short answer YES. peoples ( most of them ) will give a shit about '' being loyal '' if they aren't paid for what they fkin do .

Mr. James (Bond) was very competitively reimbursed for his services to the Crown and he was very loyal. Why not take him as an example? :D

maybe you can even meet M. to give you new tasks , maybe a new fancy car :) ...

Im only loyal to the person with the best offer.:D

Here's how the code worked:

Code:

It says you can earn 80k in the private sector!

I think its funny how they call the people spies in the article when in reality they are intelligence analysts.

Doesn't analyzing the countries communications data constitute spying?

Mi6 - Intel gathering (so, comparable to that aspect of CIA)
MI5 - Counter-intel, national security threats & issues
GCHQ/CESG - Technical gathering, analysis, technical counter-intel & countermeasures
And of course, all work together as required, along with Special Branch & other Police SOs.
5 can be compared toi the Intel aspect (as opposed to criminal) of FBI.

Spies are people that go undercover in other country.

Lots of spies just do tracking movements and listening to conversations of people in their own country. Most of the biggest terrorist concerns are people who are already within the borders of the country. What is a more immediate threat: Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan or Al-Qaeda in New York?
