What is my site worth? Official thread!

Hey meathead.

I have that medical related site who got

30 pages
PR5
150 UV per day
CPC : 1,50 - 2$ depending keywords

My problem is that I struggle to monetize it. Hardly made 10$ last month from it.

Anyways, with that PR and that traffic, how much do you think it would worth on flippa?

Thanks for reading,

JD77

Oh, cool! Can I PM you the link and can you give me what I can expect from it? So I know how much to list it for on Flippa?

Have a PR2 site - domain is about 2 years old though I've only really started working on it the past few months. Currently receiving an average of about 500 UV a day. Most of the traffic is for search engines. Making around $2500 per month. A little from Adsense and CPA network but mostly from being affiliate for one particular site. Would appreciate an estimate when you get a chance.

Hello Meathead. I am debating selling my site and it is clear to me you are the man I should talk to. I would greatly appreciate your appraisal. More information about my site can be found in my thread located at bhworld/blackhat-seo/site-flipping/375850-website-appraisal-please.html
Thanks a lot for your time,
have a great day.

A few hundred dollars. There's no way to put an exact value on it, so your best bet would be list it on Flippa and see how it does.

I have a site with 7K unique searches per month and holding positions in page 1 and page 2 for some high competitive keywords and site is 1 year old PR1 site.

Also site has 7k subcribers via google feed for its blog.

Can you give estimate for that.

Revenue?

Pretty tricky to value as you've only just started working on it. You'd probably be looking around $20k, but that could be higher or lower depending on a few factors.

Probably somewhere in the region of $60-80k, but as with most sites, would depend on some specific details :)

Okay this sticky has me thinking:
I own a domain which is currently parked at godaddy. It was my original e-commerce site that grossed over $250,000 in sales for a while. All bodybuilding supplements.
Biz died out and I started doing affiliate sales with bodybuilding.c0m but that croaked as well and they dropped me so I parked it.

The domain is almost 13 years old, still has tons of backlinks and even with no traffic, was pr2 when I parked it and has hundreds of pages all with supplement content.

What should I do with this? Get it back live, leave all the links to bodybuilding.com even though I won't get paid and then try to sell it? Or slap some content on it with articles, do some more linkbuilding and then sell it?

I've been debating what to do with this for ages.

Hey,

Your best bet is to get the site up and running again with some revenue.

At this stage, you're basically looking at a domain only sale so it will be worth relatively little.

If you can show some traffic and earnings, you'll open up to a much wider market and as such, command a far higher price.

Hope that helps!

Hello meathead,
I am very confused about selling on flippa. I have seen a few very crappy sites getting big bucks and people are bidding on them like crazy.
Is it true that sellers use fake bids on flippa to get attention from legitimate buyers?
I have got a couple of site which could get something in the range of 200-400 but I am too lazy to list or I am just scared that I will lose my money and nobody will bid.:o
Can I PM you to ask something about my sites?

Thanks

How much would a quality forum website (that is still active) with ~20k posts (all unique, generally high quality since they are debate topics that often have have long responses), ~5k uniques/month, and earning ~$10/month on Adsense, PR4 domain with strong backlinks be worth? Any help appreciated. I can pm the url if anyone wants to take a closer look.

(currently have an offer of ~$500, just want to make sure I am not selling for too much under market value)

I'd rather you post threads in the forum. I'm more likely to reply there :)

Sites this small are tough to value, but forums are always popular. I wouldn't sell for $500, you should be able to get a few thousand from someone (I might even be interested, drop me a message!)

Probably around $15k with a track record like that. I have a ton of buyers who would be interested, too.

And yes, ALWAYS use Escrow :)

I have a couple of small html websites where I promote 1 affiliate product (gift certificates, printing photos,...).

- Domain: 1 year old
- Traffic: 300 visitors/month (100% Google)
- Revenues: 10 sales/month = 100 euro

How much can I sell these?

I've never sold a site before, but this is a site which I've built fairly quickly and with minimal work. I mostly got lucky on a keyword and an EMD.

I know it's hard to sell new sites, but if you guys could let me know what you think. I'll give you as much information as I can. Let me know if you need more specifics.

Age: Registered in early October

Traffc (this month): 32,000 visitors; 26,000 unique visitors - google analytics
*Wordpress Jetpack reports double this traffic*

The traffic is almost 90% search engine traffic.

Revenue: Just started to monetize at the very end of last month. This month's revenue is around $450 so far. Revenue comes from Google Adsense, CPA networks, and adfocus.

Other things to note: I have a list of about 1,000 double opt-in subscribers who all signed up through the site to get updates when new content comes out.

----
I'd love to hear from you all! I'm not sure if I will be able to sell such a new site. I know it will continue to make revenue from about 30 minutes of work a day, but I figure if I can get a good amount out of it, I'll be able to pay off some student loans and still have a couple other sites. +rep will be given.
