Absolutely stunning - a lot of people are on the Ubot forums asking questions about the instability problems the latest version has, asking for answers, what the future holds and all we get is a deathly silence.

This explains why - Seth is too busy trying to drum up new business whilst the rest of us, most of who have stumped up a shit load of cash, have nothing but unanswered questions.

To be honest - I would hold on to your buck until they sort the problems they are having with their current STABLE?! version.

You've actually got it backwards. We wouldn't be offering our software for a trial if it's got problems. That would be a terrible business model. It's been three months since V4 was released, and we've done nothing but improve it since then. Hopefully you've used it recently, Fatboy!

If you haven't tried V4, you've got nothing to lose but a buck.

Here's a message Lilly literally just sent me from a longtime user (11 months) who just started with V4 - "ON a side note. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with my first Bot. I had support tickets up to my ears yesterday and had about 10 domain name issues to deal with at 4pm. Doing those the old way would have taken me 3 or so hours. Using the bot I was able to talk them and get them all done in under an hour. We have lots of labor intensive tasks around here and I can see that Ubot is going to be my trusted friend! If you ever have a class - let me know. Hopefully if I can show some success I'll get my programmers interested in using it also.

Okay, so why are there unanswered questions in the forums about stability, future features, a road map, freezing ubit studio, laggy interface as the bot size increases, problems with downloading 'support' files, missing dll files.....do I need to go on?

And yes, I use it most days but nowadays its not so much of a pleasure as it was in the past.

I understand there are problems - but at the moment most V4 users are paying $5 a month for the privilege of being beta testers / bug reporters. When there is an update, there is no where we can view what the latest update contained. Why when an update comes out does something that has previously worked stop working?

The software could be superb, but leaving people waiting for answers in the forums is not the best way to get people on side. For the last few days I have seen Eddie and JohnB float into and out of the forums without answering any outstanding questions - Seth hasn't been on the forum for a long while.

This sounds like a slating but its not - as I said the software could be superb. V4 was meant to be a long way ahead of V3, but the interface laggyness is back, there is no concrete documentation on the various functions, there is no compatibility between V3 and V4 and there are bugs.

Our support staff, especially John, spends a lot of time on the forum. The programming staff, on the other hand, is programming. It's better that they spend their time doing that than on forums giving detailed explanations about our bug fixes, or our future features. This helps us most quickly implement those things.

No, MOST v4 users are not paying $5 a month. Yes, a small group of people is paying $5 a month so that the software that they bought a year ago is continually updated by professional programmers to do things that the software they paid for over a year ago never did. Alternatively, they could not pay the $5 and continue using the software as it was when they purchased it.

We do hope that they continue to help us develop the software further.

Okay - on this point, those dialogue boxes DO NOT show every bug fix in the update. How do I know? I reported a problem in the forum, Eddie asked a couple of questions and then went quiet. A couple of days after the report I was going to ask what the progress was on the bug but thought I would see if there was an update first. There was. I installed the update, no mention of the specific bug I reported but lo and behold it was fixed so don't try and make me look a fool by showing a screen shot that just shows a lot of fixes. Why didn't you show the latest update that, off the top of my head now, only showed one bug fix.

Nope, you haven't spent and hour responding to MY issues - they are UBOT issues, I just mentioned them in public.

No, the support I get is a bug fix slipped into an update and not told that it was done.

Like I said originally - I was not slating the software, just trying to emphasise the frustrations that are being displayed on YOUR forums whilst you are all sending emails out trying to drum up business.

If you don't like people like me asking questions like this, what do you think will happen when you get hundreds more people trying to bang out bots in the 14 day trial. You think there are enough questions at the moment, you wait until everyone else gets in on the fun.

Whatever you think of me, I report bugs to help YOU improve the software - if you, as a company, stand there and tell people that 'version 4 is bigger and better than version 3', then stand by it. Yes there are shed loads of improvements but they are ALL overshadowed by the bugs and the lack of communication on your part.

If people want to throw you the buck for a trial then the whitterings of an old man like me won't put them off. Again, I am not slating your software which, when you get things ironed out, will be superb. Its the frustrating times that your users have to endure whilst everything is being ironed out.

Of course you are going to defend Ubot to the hilt, thats your business and your living.
Some of your users make money by using your software to create bots, me included. But when a STABLE (and thats Ubots term not mine) version is released then it should be just that and not put other peoples businesses into the mire.

Really was about to buy UBOT like 2 weeks or so ago but held back. Now I saw the trial

Are they offering the PRO for trial as well ? That would actually be great as that would be the version I buy so I wanna test the same one.

But if there are so many issues right now I am not so sure.
