If you have a look on Google's Keyword External Tool you'll see that dating keywords can go as high as $20.00! So the price of a $2 for a large number of visitors really is a steal.

Has anyone else had success with this yet?

i wasnt thinking of parking it with ads on it or anything, or even setting up a real site... im too lazy for that... redirect should work fine =) although ads would be great too.

It all depends on your local laws. I checked my city because I saw people doing and it is perfectly legal if "Taken down within a reasonable time."

With that kind of wording, there is no way you can get in trouble!

I know a guy that had done this for his band, and let me tell you, he got a call from the city sign whatever and told him to take down all the signs or he was gonna take someone to jail, just plead the 5th ok?

Heres an idea, if you dont want to get caught doing it in the city, why not just put a sticker on the back of peoples cars.... most people wont even notice if you do it right

I do this to but I don't use dating sites! I wen't to the jailhouse and posted flyers for bails bonds and free or cheap attorneys. I also posted them by every court house. I was using adsense with high paying adsense KW's and adsense for referrals. Yes the conversion were great when I had adsense.

Lol well I suppose you could do 'offline spamming' and spam your posters everywhere, (the real word equivalent of xrumer!)

Alternatively you could make the posters deceiving, and even better you AM would never find out!
e.g. "Meet Local Singles with our Our New Free Dating Site, sign up Now for Free and get a $50 FREE Instantly"
.. or something similar, no doubt this will increase conversion ratios, and views to your site

I'm assuming that's to convince people it's legit and local. Who's going to sign up for dating sites if they can't find someone in their area? It gives them the feeling that they can actually meet people that live by them.

Also, great method - seems like a good way to get into offline marketing. I swear I've seen signs like these before, but never checked them out or really thought about them. Ever since joining BHW I've gained a lot of insight into things like that...

Who wants to go halves on some of them body signs? forget Lamp posts....I live in the homeless capital of the US..... We could get some bums to wear body signs for a 40oz.....bi- passing any litter laws (not even sure we have those) as long as you can keep em from making houses out of the signs you could get paid. Feel free to try this in your local areas. And honestly circuit city and best buy do it with stick signs here. Bum advertising is not a joke.

i just googled my city and brought up their website. under my city's website, they had a section for law enforcement and luckily at the bottom there is a link for "signs". it related to real estate and yard sales but still applied for this. you just have to do some digging in your city's website.

my city is super nazi about signs but they dont charge for littering they just take the signs and you have to pay to get them back

hm i might try this. But if i go to apartment complexes and stamp a few posters with just a catchy line and the affiliate link...who can find out it was me? I mean, will someone really go through the trouble to investigate who's behind the website/affiliate link posted in a flyer in an apartment complex and fine him and such?
