I never used a page optimizer plugin for WP before - but I bought a pre-made blog that had Easy WP SEO already installed.

Obviously, the people who made the blog think it's worth using.
Other opinions? Has anyone done a case study with and without it (or something similar to it)?

I know it looks cool to see that 100% for your page, but I don't know whether it really makes a difference in real life :)

Appreciate anyone's feedback.

I use it on all my blogs, it's GREAT and it helps me when i'm writing pages or blog posts. It's more a check list if anything.

I've never gotten to 100% because there are a few bugs that don't count certain things, but I can usually get to 95%.

I used it but did get few bugs also.Overall I got it 90% ok.

em.. im using it at my blog :) actually the best way to seo is optimazed content and write a quality content :)

I like blogger and i love wordpress

Yeah I would HIGHLY recommend this plugin to anyone. Like seriously. My site is doing amazing thanks to it!

That Plugin's a GODSEND! I tend to get all wordy sometimes when I write articles and the readability scores put me back in check... XD

It's a great bit of kit - I've installed it on a new site that I've just started and it's been a great help. Most of the sites pages are over 90% according to it's scoring mechanism.

Here are some things that will help your score. For instance with the clickbump theme it can not read the meta keywords tag. I can however, read the keyword meta tag on the page so I know it is there. In the settings uncheck that box, you know it is there. The other thing that drops the score is the external link. I usually do not put them on mine so uncheck that box in the settings.

It works differently with every theme so adjust it to work with your theme.

I am new to blogging and word press but have some experience with on page optimizations.

Is this a good plugin for a new blog on a new url?

It is a cheaper option than SEOpressor, if you buy it.. No SEO plugin is the be all and end all, they just make life easier :).
I do use this plugin though, and recommend it.

seopressor is also worth checking out.

The MAJOR difference is that the Easy WP SEO actually uses the get request to pull the xhtml for the page instead of what you type into the little box. (If you set it up correctly) Default it comes checking the page just like all the other plugins do.

I just bought it the other day. I initially thought most of my posts where at least 70% seo'd with 4%keyword density....boy was I wrong, buying that plugin was one of the smartest things Ive done in a while. I'm optimizing for 100% wiki link out in some cases and 2% keyword density. Well worth the money and know i see Tnphenoman saying he uses it, that's reassurance!

If you have an authority site Or a site which has 2 posts , no matter what, if you need to SEO the blog post. its all worth it.

Thanks for all the feedback. Took the plunge yesterday and used it on one site. After doing that, I ended up with several questions:

1. Which keyword density setting do you use?

(Total Keywords / (Total Words / Total Words In Keyword Phrase)) * 100

made more sense to me but the other one was the default.

2. Is there a way to optimize an index page with multiple posts? I couldn't find it - the only option I could figure out was only putting one post on the index page, is there a way around that?

Thanks :)

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
