Why is ZennoPoster better than uBot?

Because of the issues you've mentioned, we've removed Buddy's mod ability.

Charging a subscription for software that is in continuous development is standard practice.

Also, that subscription? It's $4.99 a month for those users. That doesn't even begin to cover the cost of a development team that is constantly improving a software program.

Hardly seems unfair to me. Most could spend the hour or so that they are writing posts complaining about that cost creating a bot that they could sell for more than that.

Weird how people spend their time.

What's weird is that you guys just don't get it. Nobody cares about paying the measly 5$ a month for the software. It's the principle, you shouldn't be charging 5$ a month for software that isn't working after customers have already paid the initial 249$ for it.

What amazes me is that even after countless customers have expressed this point of view and feel that they are being treated unfairly you and the Ubot guys continue to defend your position on basically charging customers to "Beta Test" software for you. Maybe you guys don't adhere to the "customer is always right" way of doing business but it's ruining the reputation of the company.

Point blank, if a software isn't ready for the market - don't sell it. This is why Sweetfunny pulled scrapeboard sales for now, it's why Senuke X took almost two years to be released, because it wasn't ready - on the other hand you are saying (and actually defending your point:rolleyes:) that it is ok to charge customers a monthly fee for software that isn't ready to be sold while you get it working.

Either way I don't care, I'd pay 50$ a month if they could get stuff together so it works and quit talking about what Ubot 4 "will be" in the future.

$250? I paid almost $700 for a developer license, and I am forced to pay $5/month to beta test the software. I can't write 10 lines without running into bugs.

I'm in the same boat. Paid 250$ originally then another 3-400$ if I remember to upgrade to the dev version, looking back I feel really stupid to. I could have bought visual studio and been building real apps by now had I known better.

Ubot 4 is not as stable as 3.5. However, 3.5 is great and I am sure Ubot 4 will be 2.

I think that's the point I have been trying make. Everyone keeps saying what "it will" be. What "it will" be doesn't really matter when your being charged to use it now, or when it's what's being sold on the home page now.

Its great. An example for you: It takes an hour to post to about 8 sites manually but zennoposter will do it much faster. Its up to you to decide how useful it is. It can't be reliably done with uBot

Still looks like he in the moderators group to me.

Charging a subscription is standard practice for many things, the problem is v4 is considered release, and being touted as such, but it is very far from release. Many just purchased ubot 2-3 months ago because of v4 only to find it is completely unusable due to bugs and may not be usable for 1, 2, 3, or more months. Yet you asked to pay a subscription fee to get the latest versions, when not a single version has yet to be stable. It's a big FU to your customers. Even more so when you act like we are the idiots and there is nothing wrong with v4.

Actually can't create a bot that sells for more than that since v4 is so unstable. If it was stabled, and worked as advertised people wouldn't have as much of a problem with it. The ubot team acts like we are morons and we are imaging issues when the forums are flooded with bug reports and every big longtime ubot user refuses to use v4 for anything other than reporting bugs.

As far I see, much more people are talking about ubot rather than Zenno, I think that explains how much ubot creators put for advertising, and how much the users want to respond to that creation

Every time a bug is logged, it's fixed within a day or two. At the moment there are only very minor bugs on the list. Any that are reported are handled almost immediately.

Everyone who is paying for a subscription (updates) is doing so because their update period ran out. Everyone continues to have access to the previous version, which wasn't overwritten by UBot 4.0. I'd recommend 4.0, but if you don't want to update, that's fine.

Buddy is going to remain a mod. But we are changing his awesome powers of forum moderation to be slightly less godlike.

As a long time end user I would say these statements are incorrect

I'm probably gonna get a re-fund for Ubot 4 while I still can. The lack of e-mail verification is shocking and makes Ubot useless to me. I know there are plans to add it in later versions, but until then I will stick to Zenno...

I heard it will be released in version 4.1 but I agree, this is a function which need to be implemented asap.

Once it is, Ubot is truly a killer in my opinion.

People should really try both Ubot and ZP and make up their own mind.

I was able to get quite a few useful ubots done in v3. v4's bugs were just too frustrating to deal with - trying Zenno next.

yeah and I think Zenno is going to add .exe compilation. If they do that, it's going to be insane...

I'm newbie here, First I really like to thank you for this forum.

Why? Because I almost wanted to buy Ubot. I try to Seach everywhere in web detail about Ubot v4, But seem everyone saying UBot is amazing product, easy to learn, great support, Automatic, but nobody talk about cons about this product. Wired. I think now I know why. Thank you Ubot You did good.

I think I just go with Zennoposter.

I have another question when zennoposter 4 will be out?

Thanks for any reply.

First post?
I can pretty confidently say that there have been plenty of negative thoughts about UBot, most of them stemming from bugs that we had during initial release of 4.0. For that matter, when we released in 2009 there were complaints. That's because it's revolutionary software and it was the first of its kind. We listen to our users, but pioneers always get arrows in the back.

As the bugs our amazing customer base found and notified us diligently about are fixed now (that was 8 months ago) and the software is rock solid, and we're adding new features every day, you're right - there aren't a lot of complaints.

I can pretty confidently say that a lot of the negative thoughts I have about ubot stems from your attitude, Seth's attitude, and Lilith's attitude. And speaking of arrows in the back, your treatment of Lord Brar awhile ago didn't help either.

At least one reason there aren't "a lot of complaints" is because they get deleted from your forums. But there are plenty of complaints out there on forums you don't control.

I hate when questions like which is better ZP vs uBot are posted...

and the developers are the ones that answer.

and then they start attacking each other...turning the whole thread into a bitch storm.

so if you are a developer... please stop posting on this thread...
if we wanted your advice.... we would have gone to your site.
