I was selling some digitally delivered goods in the web promotion section of ebay. Ebay removed my auctions and gave me shitty reasons for why they did it. They said no digitally delivered goods ( yet in the web promotion category atleast 2000 of the 2200 or so listings are digitally delivered). Any reason my auctions were singled out? I was selling facebook likes and similar items. There are currently hundreds of auctions just like mine.

OP thanks for opening up this thread. I have been selling my private label dry fit shirts that are made in USA for about 2 months on ebay now and they were priced very low as a promotion to get people to buy them. They sold extremely well until I ended the promo pricing and changed it to my regular pricing which is still 50% below market mind you. I did that so that I can match the timing and prices of my recently set up eCommerce site. I was hoping to drive some traffic from my ebay listing to save on the fees. However, people seem so unwilling to purchase from my site even when I'm offering discounts to go to my site. What would you suggest I do to to drive more traffic and have them more comfortable purchasing on my new site. I am a 100% feedback rated seller with hundreds of feedback. My site is also on 1st page of google for EMD.

I sell VBA's that will verify your PayPal. Just send me an email (in my signature) or an AIM/Skype message.
There are certain goods that are blacklisted for selling on eBay but if you see your competition doing it, you either go unlucky, or your competition has much higher reputation (eBay is more lenient to powersellers). I would recommend that you use multiple accounts to diversify the risk should accounts get shut down. Try to market (mimic) your successful competition.

For your eCommerce store, you're going to see slow business initially; the thing with eBay buyers is that they are extremely price conscious (not exactly quality conscious), but when you direct them to your store from eBay, they often don't bite as they see cheaper alternatives on eBay. A suggestion to get sales to your ecommerce store is to get Adword coupons and use them to promote your site for free. Where can I purchase attractive listing templates/store templates without breaking the bank? The ones on Ebay are affordable but pretty cheesy looking.
