What do I do now? What does that even mean? This is news to me!

Do I just have to use proxies from now on?

Thanks all!

Where should i buy proxies from?

This is all totally greek to me so thanks for your help.

im only familiar with free web proxies, so i know nuzzing.

What have you been doing? Forum spam? Squidproxies is pretty good about forum spam and their prices aren't bad.

As antsaoo said, you should have looked into proxies before. Hopefully your ISP is gracious with you...

I would contact your ISP and claim unauthorized use of your bandwith and ask if you can get new clean IP, and for that "unauthorized use"-claim just ask politely that what should they recommend you if your using wlan access point (to look more genuine for your claim = someone hacked your wlan and used it without your permission OMG!).

They will give you clean IP certainly, depends on where you live.

Hope this helps a little.

ALWAYS USE PROXIES. :)

Plenty of Vendors on BHW, I'm sure they won't care to much about spam but, best to double check.

PS: You can probably just reset your modem and get a clean IP but, use proxies this time.

Check out the proxies for sale section here on bhw.

Thread closed. :)

Why don't you just unplug your modem then plug it back in? Bam, new IP.

i thought pretty much anyone can see your ip through minimal effort unless youre using some sort of masker, am i wrong??

what is the danger of posting your IP address, ive never understood why that is so dangerous?

im serious, please inform me ::)

Sorry, OP, I've sold that IP address on the black market as I needed a few extra buck this month.

I'll see if I can buy it back for you and give the guy a partial refund.

If they said that it means that your IP is dynamic (changes) and not static (always the same). That means you can reset it, just turn your modem off for a couple minutes and when you power it back on it should have cycled to a new one. Although they quite possibly banned your whole range...

I actually sold the whole range so he may be in a bit of a pickle.

Wasn't bad money though.

HAHA I did this by accident one time using scrapebox. For some reason the use proxy box wasn't checked and ended up black listing my IP across multiple spam forums. I couldn't even view one of my own sites lol.

My IP changes on a set schedule through comcast and they were giving me all kinds of problems about changing it. Finally I got a manager on the line and kept tearing into him about the problem until they changed my IP. Reset it manually with your modem if you can or call your ISP. Problem solved.
