Hello,

for those of you who are experienced with youtube marketing:

Do you recommend cloaking our links in the description fields of the videos?

Especially if we have several accounts?

I don't want to get my accounts closed if they can track the links based on the domain...
but at the same time, I'd like to benefit from any sort of link juice or popularity by having
them on youtube vids description fields uncloaked.

Any feedback appreciated,

Thanks!

.

You should always cloak your affiliate links. Two reasons:

1) People can see where traffic is coming from, and if it converts well they can "steal" the traffic by competing with you.
2) Most affiliate links are ugly, cloaking them makes them shorter and most people are now used to clicking shortened urls from some of the more popular url shortening sites.

No, my case is different. The links are redirection pages from my authority site domain. Networks already know the traffic comes from my site. They can't steal that. lol

yes, but I am also trying to brand my site's domain name. If there is no risk of youtube possibly being able to link all of my youtube accounts together because they saw one domain on all of their videos, then I might have to go with it.

i think it's recommended for cj and cpa networks, for amazon i don't know ...

also if you keep put the same links its easier for youtube to find all your videos and delete them so better always use cloaked.
