Am I Getting Played?

Long story short, I am playing around with CPA and trying to learn the ropes and so far have tried a couple of campaigns with a certain CPA company, will name later if need be.

Here are my stats for the campaigns which are ALL PPC and highly targeted towards the offer.

$50 McDonalds Giftcard - 72 Clicks / 2 Conversion
Mature Dating UK - 37 Clicks / 1 Conversion
MatchMaker (Female) - 25 Clicks / 0 Conversions

Now I emailed them regarding my Mature Dating Campaign and it was only then that they came back and said oh sorry yes you did get one conversion but it didn't register so here it is.

Now as I mentioned the ads I am running are highly targeted with CTR's of 0.150 and above. Dating I am running off POF and the McDonalds I ran off FB, am I getting shafted or do I not have enough data yet?

There is a few networks that do the McDonalds offer, you should cross test. Networks and advertisers are going to scrub. Reason is, it's easy to do and they make more $. Or a advertiser will scrub so he can put his payout higher than competitors and draw attention to his offer.

Nothing you can do about it. I've gone 10% conversion on the first 100 visitors and 0% for the next 200 or so.. after that I stopped my campaign and told the network to fix it or fuck off. This happened on the few offers on that network I was promoting, so I know for a fact that they are the scrubbers.

You must accept scrubbing/shaving in this industry, otherwise the advertisers would make no money and all the publishers would be unemployed.

I would not recommend you to just try some offers, ask your AM what verticals are convertig well for this traffic source.

Been offline for a bit but back.

Thanks for all your replies, latest news is I sent a whole heap of targeted dating leads from POF to their top converting offer, which I asked the AM for.

Once again none converted so I sent an email questioning it and they replied telling me that the advertiser had taken the offer off the market but they forgot to tell them.

Anyway I wasn't expecting to do anything but as mentioned this is my first time with CPA so wanted to get some opinions if this is normal for someone starting out.

Sign up with bit.ly and start tracking your campaigns. You'll know how your offers
perform as well as they without having to ask. ...and then if something doesn't work out right you'll have your proof.
Till then may be best not to imply suspicion.

Most networks trim revenue, more or less, if you are not satisfied move to another network, not much you can do about it.

It also sounds like you are running with a pretty s_tty network. I have never had that many issues, it just seems like too many coincidence's, "Oh you did get 1 conversion...here ya go". I would be pissed.

Go to offervault join another cpa network and start running the same ads from other reputable networks.

Just setup a page about McDonalds etc and once approved redirected the page direct to the offer.

I thought WSMedia was a trusted network.
