Is it just me or does nobody have any money around here? Scrabbling around for $10 or moaning about $50 for a new piece of software? Half the time the figures people talk about around here you could earn doing a shift in MacDonald?s, its chump change. UK minimum wage is just shy of $10 - people cleaning my toilets are earning more money than some people having discussions here.

I am not trying to have a poke at anyone! I just get the impression this board has become floooded with younger people trying to make pocket money? I am a grown up and have a real job :) I dont get why I always see people scrabbling around and stressing over $100, I spend more on a round of drinks :)

There are a LOT of members on this forum. Some make money some don't. Making money online is not for everyone. In fact 95% of people that try this business will fail.

You have to want it and you have to apply it!

There are a lot of broke bitches that come here though.

I do get tired of the noob questions though.

Welcome to make money online world....

I only came here because I made a site for fun and was struggling with SEO - I stuck around because I am a bit OCD about things once I start :)

Never intended to 'make money online' I have a full time job! I was just after some SEO info. I do admit I am a little hooked on it now and have been knocking up niche sites, to me I treat it like a computer game, play for a few hours in my spare time to see if I can 'win'.

There are a bunch of members that make money here. It is like any board. You take the good with the bad.

And on top of that, not ONE of us made money when we first came online. We all had a lot of questions we needed answered.

It's a few years later, and some of us already forget that we were one of these guys trying to make a buck.

Next year these younger people will be the older people guiding the new younger people

IM appeals to the financially unfortunate because of the armies of 'gurus' promising wealth beyond your wildest dreams (and you only have to work 2-3 hours a day! In your pajamas!!) Inevitably, they find their way here.

What, you expect people to join and magically have money in 10 seconds? You may have missed the fact that people come here to learn how to make money, meaning, statistically speaking, they most likely don't have money initially. But that may just be my own ignorant opinion, being young and stupid, not a grown up like you who's too good and arrogant for this forum.

Remember something 80% of people here are struggling or suffering financially in one way or another.life is getting tough financially so they come here in there bad times looking for a way out. Most are broke or spending all money on BIlls - it then takes between a few months to a year for most to get going during that time - on the main forum you will mainly see noobs asking for this or Begging for help in one way or another. recently it seem the number of new people here has TRIPPLED. I can't blame them.I was there once in serious debt.job wasn't enough to save me and this place has saved my ASS.so yes alot of people on here are dying for anybit of salvation and have very little money.

only when you start earning 50/100$ a day do things change.

Online wealth is like real world wealth:

20% of the people control over 90% of the income

And the best goal is to join that 20% group.

i think you`ve mised the point of the forum anyway verdox, its not about you surprisingly its about seo , making $10 dollars is about knowing you are on the right path that you joined to learn .like ranking your first site is also nothing to do with money . im a full grown adult myself , a single dad who owns his own houses but i still get a buzz when i rank a site or make a little change ,very immature i know but hey we cant all be big men like you.

You might have missed the post a few up where I stated I am here to learn about SEO, I am not knocking anyone that makes a few gains and then a few notes, I am here for that reason! I would like to make some decent money from this hobby for sure but you have to specualte to accumulate, no, really! you do.

I am just struggling to see how I can wade past the people who cant afford a SB licence for example :)

I understand where you're coming from. Everyone is hesitant to spend money when they don't know what they are doing but instead of creating worthless threads, they could just do the research and make their own decisions about what is worth it and what is not.

As to the original question, is the private forum better? It is less active than the main forum but the quality of each thread generally makes up for that. I also find that the archives of old posts is a wealth of information when compared to all the newb threads started each day. If you are looking to learn about SEO, the old threads are the place to start, via the search button of course.

Humm rather than moan, I might do something about it. I have spent hundreds on software and services I should really be sharing what I have learnt.

Yeah me too, no comment. Dont wanna get started.

This^^

Go and meet LukaB...and let me know how much you were making when you were 15..also...you wake up in the morning to catch up your boss and do your "Job"...while we wake up in the morning to see how much we made last night...its DAMN easy to get a degree and let others suck your mind in a job..I won't take the names of all the members who are big ballers here..but you must see the assets of athleted123...made purely of IM money, its nothing like we joined the forum and made 10k the next day,its a process,we need to learn, there is a mixtures of learners and real IM'ers here at BHW which probably is the reason for your miss-interpretation...working at Mac'd is the lamest thing ever..and we never start our work without a glass of beer...thats all I have to say.

Edit-and yes...ask the age of members here....80% will call you uncle..
