I have a tool that I use for mass-renaming files but I just thought that this function was already included in the tool and I just wasn't able to figure it out.

I am using the default settings: 25 threads - 1 sleep - 100 timeout but I increased maximum articles per directory to 1000.

I probably did not make my question clear enough. When I hit "stop" for the tool to stop scraping, sometimes it takes up to 10 minutes before it actually stops.

I would like to hyperlink the scraped keyword with a single url.

Ok 1 url to enter would not clutter the UI that much, so that can be added. It takes that much time to stop when you're using proxies right ?

Are you constantly adding new article directories for this to scrape?

How many are currently in the software preprogrammed?

Right now there are 24, in the next update there will be 28.

xhpdx - A suggestion for inserting links.

If GAP can use any existing word or phrase (even in spintax) and insert hyperlink to it that would be great. Right now it inserts links randomly but it does insert them in the middle with a keyword that does not make sense when reading. Now this needs to works 2 ways.

1. One set of links need anchor text for the keyword we are targeting i.e. what we call tier 1 in SEO. This should have the desired anchor text like "weight loss" or "Halloween costumes" etc. But this is only required like 10-20% (for me at least).
2. Another requirement is for tiers 2 and 3 i.e. these links will link to tier 1 links and these don't need any specific anchor text (for SEO purposes as one would not want their web 2.0s outranking their money site). For such if GAP just inserted the links into any existing words/phrases (even those in spintax) it would be great. Also, it would not insert gibberish words or phrases in the middle of a sentence and end up making pefect reading sense. For this if GAP were to insert links randomly selecting any keyword/phrase it would great IMHO. Maybe something you can work out or at check it ifs doable.

In such a scenario all I would need is a list of URLs to be inserted and GAP would insert the hyperlinks to any random word or phrase in the existing "spinned" articles.

Hey xhpdx,

I have been running the tool for over 2 hours and managed to scrape over 2k articles but then it hit a plateau.

I stopped the scraping. And now I am starting the tool again. I would like to know If I would get duplicate articles when using the same keyword to scrape articles again or will the tool resume scraping where it stopped in the last session and fetch some new articles. Will it skip an article if it finds out that it already exists in the folder I set for saving articles?

Hi, if you'll be using the same keyword then duplicate articles are not saved unless the option for that is checked. To skip a article it will still have to download the article page, but it won't be saved if it exists. Since there is already some amount of articles saved, it will need time until it reaches a article which is not saved, and the article counter won't increase for that time, creating the illusion that it's not working (while it is).

Sounds interesting, if you could give me some examples it would be even better.

There are so many stop words in it like "a", "the", "and", "it", "also", "or" so why not GAP hyperlink to any of them? All we need is insert URLs and a need of URLs to be given without any keywords/anchor text. Or maybe a coce to randomly select any word and hyperlink it with. GAP randomly inserts links either at the start, middle or the end of the article... so same way in can insert hyperlink to any keyword in the start, middle or ending of the article. But stop words idea is better as we would want to avoid using words like "weight loss" because we don't want to rank our tiers... only the money site. Maybe GAP can have a database of stop words and use them to randomly hyperlink a list of URLs.

OK, stop words, now that's better explanation. I've got a list of 100+ stop words, so this can become useful feature.

Crash like a unhandled exception error or not responding error or something else ? Also one time crashes or they're constant ?

Any way to spin every fourth phrase in the batch spinner when using this with TBS?

TBS API does not expose such functionality, but with SpinnerChief you can do what you've described.

I tried the demo and it works pretty good. It makes pulling articles really easy.
