I have just come across this thread and read every single post in it. This idea is just great, even though I am just starting to learn my way around IM (for sure, I am just a newbie in all this) I am starting to have a few ideas baked up in my mind. I live in a country where I can do such thing easilly with the hotel.
I will actually start to do some research and I'll probably go around and collect some data about the hotels. From that point, I'll see how to put all those data in good use and jump in the grey hat bandwagon to make the site go up in the search list!

PS: A pity people don't take a look at the post in this thread and kept asking silly/same question again and again. If you can't put forth the effort to at least go over this thread then I don't think you'll even take action to start something similar to what OP did.

I'd say we're better off without them... They ones who rated this thread terrible are either unbelievers, like the guy with 4 posts who's a newbie and said this doesn't work... (What does he know?)
Or, they are already doing something similar and don't want the competition.
Either way, congrats on getting an idea and working on it right away. Scale it up bro!

I really love methods that originate from unusual situations such as this one. You where in a holiday, you where supposed to be relaxing but instead decided to do some work and it got you over $5k in profits. That's great business sense!
