I would like to do a JV with you - make and rank sites for all Indian village hotels.

According to me every keyword like "Hotels in "VILLAGE"" has alot of competition. Most EMDs are taken.

And than theres no guarantee the hotels would buy the subscription as they are also paying people for google places rankings and SEO for their site.

Nice job dude. I'm doing the exact same thing but not on hotels. My site was launched 2 weeks ago and it's good to know it has the potential. I'm gonna start a thread like yours once I hit 5k

...and you're bloody right on the hard work & late nights compiling data, posting unique descriptions, link building, etc. It aint easy but once you're there, it's big money.

Excellent method and good job on taking an idea and turning it into something tangible. I have a suggestion though for anyone wanting to try this method and increase the success rate of hotels accepting your offer.

Instead of sending an email explaining how you can no longer keep the site running due to cost, make them realize that they will be missing out if they don't join and therefore giving their competitors an edge.

IMHO, I feel that some of the hotels could of been converted if a different approach was taken. I think of it like this, "if the site goes down no loss to me as my competitors go down also BUT if I choose not to join and my competitors do then I am missing out on potential guests to my hotel." If you get my drift.

Solid method and +rep!

This method is a great share and it can be applied to many different businesses who provide service.
I also agree with PinkBitz, the idea is to let the hotels know that you are being valuable to them and you could pick any of their competitors to have an advantage over them. As long as you can communicate that idea in a non-cocky and persuasive way, your leads will go up.
