Reputation Management Question

Wow this one is very easy, I'm surprised this reputation management firm doesn't know this technique since its one of the oldest and most effective. Since it's a forum you'll be able to register and post a reply. What you need to do is register, make a few posts on the forum, and then in that thread make a reply with an image that is hosted on your servers that is something simple and unsuspecting like a smiley face like this: :) Then just wait until its bumped back 10-20+ pages deep and change the image on your server from a smiley to a hardcore porn picture and then file a report with google that there is porn on their mainstream search results and they will manually remove it from appearing:

https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport?hl=en&pli=1

Select "other" and write up some BS about how you were searching for stuff and the porn popped up.

I'm looking forward to my reward ;)

impressive answer. MY reward to you wont stack up with the o.p.'s FINANCIAL OFFER but you've just been given THANKS & REP. cheers...

From the link you posted... I don't see a forum but a blog. typepad blog to be specific. Even though comments are closed I can post a comment.
Code:
http://lexicon.typepad.com/lexicon/2011/03/it-takes-a-thief-to-catch-a-thief.html
Look at the date/time of the comment.

The post button is disabled in the HTML. I used firebug addon in firefox. search for the button removed: disabled="true" and submitted my post. Comments seem to be autoapprove.

I will check this out. Thanks this may help them. I will let them know of this and get back to you. They may be able to combine this with the "smiley switch" method and if if works I'll hook both of you guys up...

Na, I use social media and my contacts I've built up over the years. You don't need software to hold a contest, you just need to find the right people and target them through the channels they use to communicate.

I don't really charge to setup contests, I just thought it would be a good idea. If you wanted to hold a contest, find the communities related to your niche, i.e. forums, social media sites (reddit subreddits are great for this), and create a social buzz. I could help you create a buzz depending on what you wanted to do. If it's related to adult movies, you're going to want to hit 4 Chan and possibly niche websites with a lot of traffic where you can get a quick excerpt about the details.

I would be looking for help running a contest promoting a yet to be release adult parody of "Family Guy" and another on "Sailor Moon"

Here is an example of what I did on the Simpsons Pariody
*over 33,000 double opt-ins in 4 days (almost 80,000 now)
* The trailer was #1 on Youtube for a day
* Over a million views by the 2nd or 3rd day (I forgot)
* well over 3 million now (all 100 real views and none paid for)

If anyone here can help me add to these numbers please PM me.
Btw, I am not looking for handouts. Happy to pay...

@ torched,
Where would you suggest that they host the smiley and the hard core pics? Please keep in mind that the pics can in no way connect back to me, my client, or their client.
Thanks,
Philgood

You cant be sure about the links, I have ranked websites to the top 1 with 301 redirects (such as bit.ly). There can be thousands and you wouldn't be able to discover them.

So your best bet is:

1. Continue link building
2. Hire additional SEO specialist (who understands better)
3. Get fake positive reviews on other forums

Just buy a domain from namecheap with whois privacy and the cheapest hostgator package and that will be enough. Then you can also charge a monthly "maintenance fee"

A good idea for choosing your domain would be to make something like imagevault.com or up2picture.com to make it look like a free image hosting site.

Well, there's another method. But it's very nasty.
One word: DDOS

Not sure if it fit's in your scenario, and yeah it's not that much moral behind that.
Ths would be your very LAST choice, before giving up ;)

Please explain this DDOS...
Thanks,

P.S. Still looking for someone to host those porn pics.

I just had a conversation with a potential client who said he was making $250k a year and because of some online reputation management issues (2 pages) that he is down to $20k a year. I told him reputation management can go anywhere from $5k - $25k depending on the complexity of the issue. He got hostile and thought this was "outrageous" lol.

If you lost over 100k a year due to some websites wouldn't you invest 10k to clear up the issue?

Edit: he thought even the 5k was ridiculous.

I am looking for someone out of the U.S. to host these adult pics. There can be no tie to my client at all.

Btw, Still want to know what DDOS means...

ok this is Ddos:
A denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) or distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the concerted efforts of a person, or multiple people to prevent an Internet site or service from functioning efficiently or at all, temporarily or indefinitely.

One common method of attack involves saturating the target machine with external communications requests, such that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic, or responds so slowly as to be rendered effectively unavailable. In general terms, DoS attacks are implemented by either forcing the targeted computer(s) to reset, or consuming its resources so that it can no longer provide its intended service or obstructing the communication media between the intended users and the victim so that they can no longer communicate adequately.
the method is very agresive and will be noticed fast..there is ddos software but i wouldnt advise running it on your own computer
you should check out a anonymous ddos service like this: http://www.bellum.org.uk/

good luck,

I am new to this site, looking up rep management options to clean up a few pages for a client with a solid budget. Have a limited time to get it done. Would you be interested in some work?
