Hurricane Irene Path?

Is anybody in the path of this storm? I just moved to a part of Mass. that is known for flooding under the smallest circumstances and we are due for a pretty substantial amount of rain.

Anybody else concerned?

I live in Dixie Alley, and I'd gladly trade places with you for a week during tornado season! The one below actually hit my complex

The complication involved with hurricanes is that they disrupt storm systems and can easily spawn violent storms and tornadoes far away from their impact zone. It's coming at you... bros.

The thing I'm afraid of is the flash flooding. I live right along the Connecticut River and the weather ninnies are talking about tons of rain in a relatively short amount of time. I'm watching the grand kids this weekend as well. Should be tons of fun!

You'll get some rain and some winds.. I'm originally from up in your area and the weather will be well east of you... expect some rain.. some wind but nothing beyond what the system up there can handle.

I feel like hurricane Irene is causing a slump in my web traffic for the past couple of days because people are probably panicking and are searching for hotels and places to go to get away from it.

At least if I were to lived in any of the projected affected areas, I would drive away and not browse the web like normal.

We moved from VA Beach last year and I am so thankful. I mean we will still get some residuals but not anything like the neighborhood we used to live in that is 1/2 mile from the ocean.

I hope it doesn't get up to tennessee, ive already had enough of that shit this year. back in may, the same night the tornado hit joplin i had high winds in my area and it knocked down one of the trees on my property. one of the branches from it punched through my roof in my bedroom and damn near killed my ass (missed me fortunately) and screwed up a bunch of other stuff. then a couple weeks ago, had a bad lightning storm and a lightning bolt stuck somewhere near my house and it fucked up one of my tvs and one of my satellite boxes. thinking about moving back to cali again, i'd rather have their earthquakes than this shit.

Bottom line is if you are anywhere along the east coast, you should be watching this closely. There's been a ton of rain there and Irene will drop 4-12"+. There will be major flooding and you don't need to be near the center of the storm to see major flooding. Take your precautions now, don't wait for the storm to come. I attached an estimate of rainfall from now through tuesday morning.

You should be glad you don't. When you stop your car under an over pass and some sheet metal flies by and then comes back the other direction and wraps around a sign post. That's when you start worrying about your shorts.

I am sure that the guys in the south would gladly send the hurricanes your way instead but then they would be bitching about the drought.

Either way they are controlled by the Russian and American governments like Katrina... LOL Gotta love a good conspiracy.
