A Simple Story of Getting High PR in 3 Days

i just launched a new WP website 15 days ago. was planning to start a proper SEO on this website. i was little bit skeptic to start any direct blast on my site through ScrapeBox as this is my money website and was very much concern over the G panelty. this site didnt get any good traffic in the begining. found some organic traffic through G00gle. i was just making the whole diagram on how i must start my SEO and which task should start first to avoid get sandboxed. i was too much concerned over the progress of my website but still was confused and extra concious over this website as i've lot of expactations with this site. so i started from the very basics. submited the site plan and xml file to g00gle and all major search engines. after three days i found 516 pages out of 15k were indexed by g00gle. i fine tuned all the errors once again to get more pages indexed. during this period of time i never ran any SB Blast.. No SeNuke.. No AMR... No BMD...No Twitter campaign but a simple and steady startup.
i checked my site after 3 days and it was no where and had 0PR.

just by chance i thought to use G00gle+ Project to promote my website. i have already 3k friends on G00gle+. so i decided why not i start posting my links on it so i might get some traffic through it. As soon as i started posting my links on G. people started given me +1 on my posts and so the traffic started comming to my money site. though the traffic is still not encouraging.
i just checked my site two days ago with very low traffic rate but i'm wonder that my site is already have PR3. this all happened only in 3 days since i started posting my links on G. and i didnt take much effort on it. just random urls of my website and not more than 35 links per day.
now i'm convinced that G has a power to get ur site ranked well.
pls. remember until now i've not even used any BH tool to promote my website and still the traffic on my website is in between 60-70 per day.

i'm convinced it is only due to the G+ power and the +1 i got from other ppl.

Thanks for the report. Did this happen with the July 18th PR update?Did you launch the site with 15k links all at once? Did you do on page seo? How many inlinks?

More stats will help us determine what caused the quick PR jump.

How many backlinks did you have at the time when this happened. Were they high quality backlinks, or low quality scrapebox style?

Here's my theory. Google has been taken to task over its ranking process in recent action. Given that it may be 'requested' to show some inner workings, I think they dumbed down their process for awhile. Because if you note, these instant rankings started happening when news of this broke. We are possibly dealing with Google circa 2007 not 2011 in some aspects (eg PR but not Panda).

Just a theory based on coincidence.

Its been 16th day today so there is no way of getting it ranked on July 18th PR... YES i launched my site including all the 15k links at once and let it get indexed.

i exactly dont know when g00gle updated my PR as G never disclose this to anyone what they says is that they update PR a few times a year and YES this question also comes in my mind as well, how i got the rank in such a very short period of time. i only manually submitted my xml file to SEs. letting my site to be crawled.
the only point came in my mind is the Gplus link posting which has increaded my PR and that is what i shared here.

Google's been tossing around the PR on all of my sites. Maybe they are trying to tell us that it is not as valuable as it used to be... Some of the sites with lots of PR are just crappy little blogs with bad content hah

I've had the same thing happen to me. One of my sites which was only 1 week old and have a total of 5 backlinks went from PRN/A to PR2 during the latest update. I have a feeling it's only temp though.

These days Google is updating its toolbar PR frequently. I had one of my new sites jumped to PR3 with just few links from bookmarking and blog commenting. There is definitely some change in the algorithm by which Google computes the pagerank. It was never so easy to achieve a PR of 3 or 4 earlier.

I think it'll be temp, Google have screwed the pagerank updates a few times.

It seems like they can't settle on the correct algorithm to determing pagerank. Or they could be screwing around with all the HPBL services.

i got PR4 in one month for one site and PR3 for another site.

It is a glitch that will be taken care of by Google.

I've had a 7 days site getting PR1.. Obviously an error due to changes taking place in Google and shall be fixed soon.
