hi Bhers
am having problem uploading files to my site using ftp program, btw am using filezilla.
i don't know the folder to upload the pages into and even if i add it to any folder i doesn't show up on my site, am noob when it comes to stuff like this type :D
but am good at snatching your girlfriend :croc:

If you are uploading a web page, it should go to "public_html" directory.

If you are using control panel you can upload directly from the folder without using ftp.

ok so i have an ipage control panel but still have no idea of what to do next

Try to use winscp.

ASk the document root folder to your hosting provider

if there is no "public_html", you can upload your files to "www".
or on cpanel you can simply use the HTML/java uploader.
get some screenshots so we can help you better.
- what folders are there when u ftp?
- give us a screenshot of your cpanel
- does the website contain anything now?

without wax,
haxxaruz

This will definitely help.

I also recommend CoreFTP lite. Great free program and newbie friendly, IMO.

F*&k - FTP - Just use c-panel and wp-admin for the rest. he only problem is if your files are huge or you are not using wordpress

This is all very good. But if you have the permissions then you can go to "My computer", in the address bar at the top, type "ftp://siteaname.com", a dialog box will open and will ask for the user name and password. Provide them and after a few seconds you will be looking at your site where it is placed on your hosting. Browse for the pages that you want to change or upload.
