Back on topic: I have a theory that the higher the PR the less weight is given to the nofollow status. In other words if you secure a 7 pr nf backlink, it will give you pretty much the same boost as a df pr 7 would. No 100% guarantee of course.
Thats totally not true. It will help with rankings, it just wont pass page rank to youre site. Besides, you should have some no follow links anyways to look more natural.
