I released a product on clickbank called "The RealCrowd Simulator" in the marketplace

Its basically software that simulates crowd noise of arena basketball games for teams to use IN PRACTICE. It actually works really well and flows smoothly. The idea is that if you can perform under pressure at practice (generated by simulator) then you will do well in game.

you can search "RealCrowd Simulator" in click bank market place to see the product

I have an aff. link but I dunno if its against the rules to post it

Do you think this product will sell?

I got three D1 schools using it so far including The Texas Longhorns which is pretty awesome but I gave it to them for free to try and build a testimonial base...

Any advice on gaining affiliates? is my product attractive? is this products market big enough?!!?

I think It's cool but can't you just find....idk. crowd noises on the internet? Cool idea. I guess. It will sell if the Longhorns are using it.

to the poster above... U could just use a soubdboard but there usually low quality. Mine also flows really well. U could watch a basketball game on mute and use my simulator and it would almost sound real. There's no "dead air" . Any advice on how to market this? It's getting very tedious emailing schools one by one

i don't know what you charge for this, but if its more than 10 bucks, it won't sell

I don't know man. I have seen so many stupid ebooks on clickbank that actually sell. One guy had an ebook on "how to cook a pig in traditional hawiian ways" for $40 and managed to sell 37 copies in a few months.

I think thats the dumbest thing yet he got sales.

I just have no idea how the hell to market this.

Selling a cooking ebook is much simpler, though. There are always people who like to cook weird shit... but you have a VERY limited market. I think the best way you could market this is by sending emails to the team managers directly, etc... very time consuming.

A useful software but it won't necessarily sell because of your audience. You're going to have to market offline or try to just rely on affiliates.

what would you guys say is the best way to get affiliates for this kind of product. I still have 0 sales in my first 2 days...pretty discouraging

If I was a coach, I would just play the latest Lakers game in the background on the school's boombox or AP system.

This is a coaches mentality, to his merit, as his job is coaching. Schools are your target, but I do not think that you have the customer in site. I have promoted Athletic Calendars to schools though when selling sponsorships on the posters to businesses you always drop the Athletic director's name, but in reality, when you wrote up the contract, the Principal or even the "spirit club" president was who I dealt with initially go get the contract.

Now if you got in contact with the players who are looking to move on from high school sports to the pros (at least in their minds), you could find a way to rewrap this into a "scout film creator" "Make videos that help you to get a sports scholarship scouts attention 100% of the time". This would also give you a larger market to allow affiliates to do their work. Just allow
SM traffic, and tell your affiliates about MySpace. LOL.

These are just ideas off the top of my head.

This saved me the time of typing a lot of words to say more or less the same thing.
You may have a product that's worth something, but you're never doing to sell it on Clickbank. You need to direct market to schools - find an in with athletic directors/coaches/sports information directors and go from there...

I just went to godaddy and quickly checked, crowdnoise.info is available and so is .net (I think). I would buy those domains and rank for that term on page one spot one. Low Competition.

Then I would rank for virtual Crow with a Web 2.0 Blog pointing to your software, again low competition.

Then I would rank for Cheering, or computer generated cheering, or crowd noise, etc..

You get the idea. If you rank spot one for 6 different words even with low traffic it would be so targeted that you would get a few sales a week, if not per day.

It would be hard to attract affiliates (essentially that's what we would do) because the volume wouldn't be worth the time for me.

Have you tried a licensing deal with a distributor?

Either way Good Luck

For one I would bury this thread with in the SERPS with a little competition for the title KW. The last thing you want is for anyone researching your product to find your doubting it as the #1 result"

It should not be too hard as there are only a few results.

Maybe you could alter this for music departments and individual music artists and bands also. I think the words "stage fright", could be pretty valuable for you on an emotional level. Its kind of hard to convince coaches that it is YOU and not THEY that motivates their players.

Maybe if you bind it to an open source karaoke program and sell it on MySpace as a way to become a star - Can you handle the pressure? Promote it to bands to create their own "Live Concerts" (the live concert package). etc..

If you wanted to use Clickbank as an easy payment processing platform, you will get your money's worth. If you wanted to use CB for its affiliate resources, you will need to put a lot more work into tooling this for the affiliates, Which will mean a larger target audience and a clearer focus on how to make sales to a more general audience (its hard to pass that along until you can answer this yourself).

Now to be honest with you, there is no such thing as a crappy product that can't be sold, but there are a lot of good products without the proper marketing to promote them, so no matter what others say, it can be done. I do not think you have a crappy product. It would be impossible to say so, as you have re-created the laugh box (the automated clap and laugh creator for live TV shows), and the product or its spawn stars in almost every sitcom shown since the 1950s.

You retooled the market one way, maybe if you retool it a couple of more times, you will find a perfect fit for a FEW markets.

First off,

thanks for all the response, you guys are really knowledgeable. As far as changing the entire products purpose for bands to practice to etc, I think I am going to pass on that as my main selling point however I think that's an awesome idea as a secondary product I could sell.

So I think im going to transfer my site to a domain name like crowdnoises dt net or whatever is available and hopefully rank high for that.

The term crowd noises gets 9,900 searches a month...

How hard do you think that is to place in the top position? My SEO knowledge is pretty awful. I have read "SEO WARRIOR" but a lot of it is over my head.

Thanks again guys for the responses

Hey Gmarch25,

Be careful when you do key word searching. Crowd Noise actually only has 390 Exact Search Results. The 9900 is the Global Broad results. You want to base all of your research on Exact Match which represents what people are typing in exactly.

When you use the google Key word tool you can either check "Exact" on the side or use brackets i.e. [crowd noise]. However 390 is not too bad, because they will be laser targeted.

It should be a piece of cake to rank for. I suggest downloading the Free Commenter software that someone giving away free on here. I downloaded it yesterday.

Find sport related, and crowd noise related High PR blogs and post comments. Just do 20 per day (will take about an hour).

After your url is about 3 months old total - buy a few hundred (not thousand) forum links and a directory submission. You should be at spot 1 in no time.

The competition is low it might even happen with just 5 days of comment posting. Don't go doing anything drastic because you don't want your money site to be sandboxed.

Once you get to page one, you can start doing other techniques like article writing, etc if you need an additional boost, but think you won't need it.

Good Luck

hey capp,

Thanks for your input I think I am going to follow your advice to a tee and see where that gets me!

Well, I think it is really a helpful piece in trainings. But I would say your target audience is simply too low... Just think about it...

Anyway, anyhow, your idea was very creative, so I like it a lot and am sure you once can make a really unique and successful product- just never forget to think about the size of target audience before.

Good luck!

im thinking of ways right now to expand my target audience right now, but i dont really think its that low of a niche

I mean theres 27,000 high schools in the USA alone..all with basketball teams (guys+girls). Now that just high schools...wut about colleges (d1, d2,d3)/semi pro teams etc.. Easily 50,000

Also..wont it be hard for me to place high on google against sound effect websites? they occupy the whole first page pretty much for the term "crowd noise" or "crowd sound effects"

You need to ask the question "what problem does this product solve and for who" not who can I sell this too.

ya ive used that mindset for my new pitch . i started it off with asking a question
