How would you drive traffic to this site?

Hey guys, I really would like your help when it comes to driving traffic to my site. I am no SEO expert so I figured I would find out what you guys think. I own a freestanding contact lens store here in Las Vegas and now have put the store online. After getting some great work done by a couple members on here we are ready to start promoting the site. We will be doing adwords and a lot of offline SEO here in Vegas but I wanted to find out what the best way to go about ranking this site and generating traffic online would be.

I have done a lot of reading through the forums and have some ideas but still don't know what step 1 should be. I am open to all ideas and would like to possibly work with someone full time to rank my site and drive traffic.

This is a newbie question I get that, but am really looking to just get put in the right direction. Thanks guys for all of your help, I would like to offer a special for BHW members on my site. But before I do could someone let me know how I do that without getting in trouble?

offline seo? thats some advanced stuff

I would recommend targetting local and/or specific keywords. e.g. city contact lenses, brand x contact lenses. Not as much traffic but easy to rank for. I'd focus on ranking well in google places too since you have a b&m store.

so first step: keyword research

If you have a budget in mind, PM me and we can take it from there (work at an SEO company and we've been getting some great results lately).

Probably promote on like casino sites doing something like 'keep your eye on the money' with a little banner. Maybe something like a blurry money with one circle that's not blur (the lens).

Maybe a google places account would be a good thing to start with. You can probably use a virtual office for that one if you don't have your own office.

I would also go with twitter and facebook, just make a catchy profile but don't just spam links. A facebook fan page would be a good way to start and then promote it amongst LV facebook users.

I guess my question would be where do I start when it comes to SEO. Meaning scrapebox blasts, article submitting, etc.... I have our facebook and twitter pages being built right now so those should be live today.

Also, instead of paying someone to do it would someone want to help me with this for a fee? I have most of the programs on here from xgen to scrapebox but just not knowing where to start.

I think this would be great but the setup fees are a little steep to get started. 3-5 thousand to just get started.... I think this is something I will consider down the road a little bit. Thanks for the information.

Anyone on here want to promote for say 20% commission. After talking with the networks the average is 8%-12% I would be willing to pay 20% per sale. If your interested let me know.

Seriously you may want to advertise on craigslist for direct traffic... "come in with this ad and get 10% off" or some such thing aside from the SEO suggestions you are getting.

Well we sell contact lenses so i am posting in Health and Beauty in LV. Seeing some traffic but nothing to write home about. I really need to increase traffic. Just started with Adwords, but of course an arm and a leg. Would much rather pay someone really well to drive traffic.

make a giant social network tiered with web2.0 profiles with senukex. scrape relevant blogs with scrapebox and blast the social network/web profiles. ping em all.

write a very lengthy article, spun to the max, and submit to AMR and senuke (another linkwheel). scrape a bunch of .com/.net/.org forums and xrumer all the articles. add to rss feeds and ping.

buy a directory submission package to submit to 2k+ directories.

buy high pr blog comments

add a blog on your site and pump out good content.. use twitterfeed to auto post on your facebook/twitter. bookmark all your blog posts, ping your bookmarks.

I will purchase any programs and will do what it takes to learn, so who wants to do this? We can do this as a JV or a flat rate. So... Lets try this. Who wants to send me traffic and have me pay them for it? I will do commission based on sales, or a flat rate for visitors. Either way is fine with me. I am paying to much for Adwords and word rather pay someone that needs some money. Just a thought... anyone interested?
