I got scammed again. I need some ideas from you.

Take his personal info from paypal and email him letting him know you will be contacting his local police... It may scare him and make him drop the dispute.

Nothing you can do about "Unauthorized Payment" - it's about the only one that isn't worth fighting.

The problem with small site sales (low $XXXX) is people often can't be bothered with the hassle of Escrow so use Paypal instead. You should also get an asset purchase agreement written up (PM me if you want the one I use) so you at least have his name, address etc. If you have his details, it could be worth pursuing, but to be 100% honest, $1k really isn't worth chasing.

In future, use Escrow. But, I'm afraid for now, you'll have to chalk $1k up in the loss column unless you can scare him (unlikely).

Make sure you get him banned from Flippa, DP and anywhere else you can find him. If he's going to take your money at least make his life miserable.

I'm guessing this is considered a digital item. I don't think paypal covers digital items for Items not received, items not as described but not sure if Unauthorized items work. In this situation, they might ask for tracking or something which obviously doesn't exist. What you could do is send a letter to your clients address with tracking and signature confirmation. If he signs for it, you should be covered under paypal for un-authorised transactions.I sold a Ps3 about a year ago and had the same situation but because i had signature confirmation and tracking, they gave me my money back.

Also if you were able to get your money out of paypal in time and had it deposited to your bank account. You should close your bank account and credit card associated to the account because they will go into them to get the $1000 but your account will be useless. If you weren't able to get the money out this will obviously not work

I'd say godaddy is your best bet. They may not give you your domain back, but they'll figure a way to suspend the domain and slap the scammer with a ridiculous fee, as they're self-appointed internet policemen (always with a fee/penalty attached).

Just give them a call, don't do anything over email.

Well first sorry for your loose , in "unauthorized transaction" you can't do anything , they need either proof of item shipped or did you refund him or not , no other option , i had also faced such problem before emailed them even called them but no good , All you can do is provide paypal proof that the product is digital delivered and after that call them and chat with there representative , may be you get your money back , also contact the buyer tell him to cancel his dispute , as previous member said tell the buyer that you have his ip and chat logs and going to file a complain on ic3.gov , may be get scared and cancel his dispute

I feel your pain. I've been scammed for amounts like $30, $50 and $90. Those people are just so f*cking sad but you have to be ready for everything. There are people who would sell you their kidney for $1000 (like the guy who sold his kidney for an iPad).

I read on one of the threads that you need to physically deliver (with proof of delivery) the site on a disc since paypal doesn't consider electronic delivery as a viable transaction but I have no idea how to copy the entire site on to a disc and there wasn't any details on that thread. I actually have a site listed on filppa now and that is a worry that's been on my mind

That thread would have been mine or Bryanon's (I forget) about a year ago.

This used to work, but not always these days.

Just download the site database/files and burn onto a disc. Then send it to the buyer recorded delivery so you can supply this number if/when Paypal ask.

It's not 100% foolproof these days, but it's better than not having any proof.

I think you have 14 days to reverse a domain transfer with GD. Call them up and ask to reverse it, it's worth a shot.

You may be able to slide by on this loophole:

Upon completion of the Change of Registrant of the Domain Name, Go Daddy will send an email to the Current Registrant confirming the change of Registrant contemplated by this Agreement. If the Current Registrant has any objection to the change of Registrant whatsoever, the Current Registrant assumes all responsibility for responding to such email and notifying Go Daddy of any objection within fifteen (15) calendar days. The Current Registrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold Go Daddy harmless for any issues that arise as a result of an improper change of Registrant, whether intentionally or unintentionally initiated, whether by the Current Registrant or others acting on its behalf. The domain name may not be transferred to another registrar within sixty (60) days of the completion of the change of Registrant transaction (the "Transfer Prohibition Period"). In the event the domain name is subject to another change of Registrant within the Transfer Prohibition Period, the 60-day Transfer Prohibition Period will begin again upon completion of the subsequent change of Registrant transaction.

Write a formal objection to the transfer and then call Godaddy. Tell them your attorney needs to know who's attention to send it over to. Once you've got their interest explain the situation and see if they'll reverse the transfer.

I would suggest to use godaddy and see if you get your domain transfer reversed.
Secondly, if you win paypal claim (which I definitely want and wish at this time), the scammer will get a good lesson.
