1.what do you use for the website (any special plugins?) I am tired of doing it in html / css i need something more automated.

I made the site in static HTML,few flash banners and other sutffs were added to make it look more fancy,no special plugin.

2.So, the city for which you made the website is also in India or out of India?

Its in India,if you want to try this,I would advice you to target your local city or state.

3.btw what do you suggest an EMD or otherwise?
I checked some major destinations like *****,********** etc with 10k+ exact searches(hotels in xxxx).. all the emds(com,org,net,in,co.in) are taken ....

Getting an EMD is always an advantage,but if they all are taken,try something like "cheap hotels in XXXX" "best hotels in XXX"...Hope you getting what I mean.

5. I want to see how those sites look.Are you good with HTML/website designing etc? Or did you hire someone to make that site for you? Or did you use a script?
I understood every concept and I think I can do it too but the only problem here is about the website designing. I don't know html, languages, designing etc.

Nothing special with the site,I did the designing job by myself.You can hire a freelancer or just get it done by someone here at BHW,check out the service thread.

6.How do you manage the payments and subscriptions? I mean paypal is out the question, so do you ask them to just deposit directly into your bank account ?

I told them that this was my personal site made for welfare,so I didn't faced any problems in getting direct payments,DD,Cheque etc.

7.I was thinking of doing something like statehotels.com (or some variation) and having a subdomain for each major city...how well would that work? I can get the first page ranking for sure.

More the competition more the trouble,if you want to do something big like this,you have to work hard on the SEO part,I just targeted a city for trial,if you are planning to target a state,get ready for some hard work.Nothing can be FOR SURE in IM,I didn't even knew I will make this much of profit,no matter how brilliant your idea is,there is always a risk of 1%.Focus on traffic rather than ranking,this is what I will advice.

8.Did they ask for any proof for traffic?

Most of them didn't...but few put up some conditions like "I want to see the progress" etc. They wanted to see traffic for a week or so...and luckily the site was getting sufficient amount of clicks to convince them.Be ready with some proof.

9.In the mail sent to them, you didn't mention your site URL?

They wanted to see the clicks for the particular page or the whole site?
Not that tough just had to make them believe that listing their hotels would fetch more business...they didn't bothered about the clicks on the whole site,they were happy like hell to see xxx daily clicks on their page reacted like "Oh my hotel is that famous" lol..actually most of them were too excited to ask for proofs n all...coz the charges could be easily covered up by a single guest,I made them believe that guest would be referred from my site

10.Which is your favorite holiday spot in India ?

11.what if you bought 10k-100k pageviews/unique visitors from someone in the services section and sent them those stats or screenshots. If they ask for keywords just say you can't release that information. Granted, they won't be getting any referrals from your website but hey why not.

12.can you talk more on how you contacted the hotel managers? Where did you find the emails for the managers?

I have mentioned this in the post that I hired school children to collect info about the hotels,the Emails they collected were NOT the personal Emails of managers for god sake!If you are addressing a hotel,the manager would be the one you will talk with,not chefs n laundry boys!!

That is just a Sample Mail,you can always make it more convensing.Depends on your writing skills.The pin point of the mail should be to make them believe that this is something important for their business.

14.The keyword has a CPC of $4.56. so now put adsense and maximize the profit.

I thought about that but I think it would kill the professionalism of the site..may be I will come up with some tiers of subscriptions,some more twists n turns and then will think about adsense

15.and how many days u wait before u remove the listing of the hotel which ddint reply ?

Got "NO not interested" kinda replies and scheduled a "Site maintenance" six working days after sending the Emails,removed the hotels in that break.

16.is there anyway to collect email address of these hotels without visiting them ? i selected a city and saw some hotels have book reservation thing but i cant find email addresses or contact info of any hotel forget hotel managers since many hotels aren't having a website
so can u advice something ?

Try directories...this problem arises, thats why I hired students to visit them personally.And not necessarily you'll find eMail ID,but telephonic phone call would work as well.And the Email ID I collected were not the personal mail ID of Hotel Managers,let me clear this to all of you,but if you are addressing the hotel,you have to contact MANAGERS! Not laundry and chefs

17.how do you rank above expdedia and hotels.com?

Its not hard to rank,its hard to "STAY" there,I never outranked Gplaces in this process,and the rest was the magic of my keyword.

If people can't rank a site in a month,even if it doesn't stay there for long,then quit BHW and join WF or DP!Read post #74 for rest.

18.Did you have to explain anything about keywords or google rank to the hotel managers? did they ask about this kind of stuff? or did they just care about traffic?

They just care about traffic,m sure most of them didn't even knew anything about this.
