Has anyone seen this - its insane - if you dont have a mobile phone to verify your account when you sign up for FB - you have to fill out this massive form and send them a picture of your Government ID

What the hell - this is beyond insane.lolllllllll

I've seen this for the first time. What now? Facebook collecting our Government IDs to start a World War III?
 
have you tried clearing cookies and changing your ip?

don't think they'd do this for everyone unless something was showing up when you signed up
 
It should be increase spamming finally facebook trying to prevent , it will also bypassed for sure...

I mean its not serious - I can get around it easy but still - what are they trying to do - Do they think people will want to go through all of this just to sign up and with the google plus+ roll out - this seems like a dumb thing to do.
 
It's probaly bicause of reports... when people report your account as fake. Got some of those about month ago... :confused:

You can try fake IDs if acc isn't US... but that's ... illegal

Edit: I didn't read everything... I got this after login, not signup...

LOL that's the first thing I thought.. buy up some accounts.. wait a month when everyone is freakin and charge more.

but i don't think they could possibly be doing this to everyone that signs up.
 
i hate these things.

why do all the sites that have this type of thing, assume that EVERYBODY has a mobile phone? i don't have one. haven't for about six months. have no intention of getting one either. i don't use it... do i need to get one just for shit like this? ffs
 
LOL, I agree with you guys. I thought a website should be upgrading, but facebook is just worse on upgrading their website. Everytime they change something they dont fail making people disappointed. example the new chat box design. :D

I just spoke to an IM buddy - says facebook will be doing more of this but it might just be my login - if anyone else notices something similar post here.
 
I decided to delete my facebook. Facebook is against online privacy.
 
is google+ will do the same thing ? and all other social media ?
