Purchased this recently, I must say it's a fantastic solution!

However there are a few things I would like to see in the future.

File/Download Locking
A place to change the admin password.
Social media locking - forced like/retweet/etc
A way to call the locker via javascript, instead of it auto appearing on page load.

This one can already be done, you'll find instructions in our private buyer's area. If you don't yet have access, email support to get set up.

The others are either in the works, or under consideration, as we're only a few weeks post-launch and we're still collecting feature requests from buyers (there's not much left that can't already be done ;))

Hey, I'm thinking of buying this but first want to know is the blanking referrer working/reliable? Is it dependant on external sites like referer.us?
Cheers

We did use a third party before, but have just today issued an update with our own blanking script - so there is no reliance on any other sites.

Thanks!

I have a question for you. I'm a little new to connent locking. What would want to make a user come back to the site if it's just content locked? If I wanted to check out a site and saw a survey, I would leave. How would I make it of interest to them?

Well, what would make you want to return?
Many people drive traffic to a single piece of content which they believe people will want. They lock it and, when their visitors complete the offer they get that piece of content, so everyone's happy.

Others wish to build out a site, and gain return visitors. So they offer lots of content, and possibly set long-term cookies (up to a year), so that visitors presented with a locker, who have completed an offer, don't have to complete any more for some time.

One example is game cheats. If you are a gamer and there are hacks or cheats you really want, you'll be happy to complete a short offer. If, after completing it, you actually GET what you wanted, chances are you'll come back when you start to play the next great game, or when you move to another level and need a new cheat, etc.

There are plenty of ideas for content which users will come back to a site for, repeatedly. You can achieve visitor loyalty even when locking content, provided your content is good and desirable.

Many, many more examples and ideas are available in our buyer's private area.

meathead1234, Could you link me to a demo of content lock pro? I had a look on google with no luck. I'm very interested in buying this at the end of the month.

Thanks

I just purchased it yesterday and the installation is giving me a problem. it says It looks like your domain does not have a valid license key .
If you think this is incorrect, please email us.CHttpException

Unable to resolve the request "site/error".

Try the solution here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-generation-content-locker-6.html#post2938354

It's just the way licensing is setup. If you have issues after that, drop support an email and it will be sorted.

I linked to a few demos earlier in the thread: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...xt-generation-content-locker.html#post2784134

There are loads of ways to customise CLP, so these basic lockers are just an idea of what can be possible. Other options that people have tried are: social lockers, lockers with opt-in forms, banners on lockers etc.

Just taken the plunge and bought it. Lets hope it pays for itself soon, or better than what I am doing already with my current content locker. Thanks for your replies to my pms JohnsonDaniel!

Hello Daniel,
I haven't bought CLP yet ... just found this thread. Noob to BHW but not to cpa, IM etc.

Is this correct? If a visitor to my sites types in the url wrong, let's say without the "www", they won't gain access or see the offer because it's licensed with the "www"? If so, then what do they see when they type it in wrong?

No, the license setup is only for logging into the admin panel on your installation domain. It doesn't have any affect on gateways on sites - so either would work fine.

I have more questions but this forum software wont let my ??? go through

so I'll parse them

Another couple questions, relates to my membership data sites with updates throughout each day. I want to convert to cpa gateway type of payment. But how would that work or how can I make that work with your CLP under these typical user actions during the day/night?
1. User 'A' comes to site and stays all day. User refreshes page frequently for updates.
2. User 'A' comes next day, does the same thing, etc.
3. Another user 'B' comes, sees data and leaves/closes browser window. Then that user 'B' returns later that day to see data updates.
4. User 'B' does the same thing the next day.
Is the CLP schema working with cookies? Can the cookies be timed out, say at the end of some time period? or for a date and time? or say for a month of access to the site/page?

Daniel,

maybe there is a better place to ask my questions but I'll try again.

My rationale- the time consumed managing memberships and the back office stuff is ridiculous, to say nothing of the time spent marketing.
So why not let members fill out cpa offers of different values for different periods of time of access? But cpa offers vary in payouts, so why not have cpa offers grouped by payout amount for given time period access to the site?

Hey,

Yes, it works with cookies.
Currently, cookies are set based on days, so the shortest duration is 1 day (24 hours), with the longest being unlimited, but, sensibly, around a year (365 days).
It can also be set to 0, meaning the locker will re-pop every time the browser is refreshed.

Via a support request, CLP users can obtain a free mod to the relevant file, which allows the "days" setting to become an "hours" setting. For users who have this mod, an input of 1 into the Re-pop frequency box would then mean 1 hour, and, if wanting to use one day, the input needs to be 24.
This was coded as a result of user requests to be able to set shorter periods than one day.

HTH

I need a system that is low maintenance for me, low pain for the member ... both are happy, right?

Can CLP do this thing? these things... and how,,, what method/tool/cookie etc. in CLP allows for this time variable and control?

TIA for answering all these questions.
