Hi everyone,

today I'm really pissed with ebay! I try to be careful and not list high VERO items, but seems that EVERY single item imaginable is VERO. I'm sick and tired of these F^%%$$$% ebay/paypal, for a month I'm doing almost nothing there, and I'm feeling like losing money and my time on ebay, since ALL my listings are being shut down!

I'm exhausted, and unfortunately I'm dependent of ebay, since I don't have a real knowledge about websites, SEO, etc, etc. I'm trying to learn everything that I can to just leave ebay forever!

I just want to express my feelings about this EGAY!

Please feel free to share your opinions about this Sh^^%&

Don't quit reading and learning and you'll be able to do it faster than you think...:)

Thanks buddy!

And I hope so! I have a website, but at this time I'm struggling to put it online lol

I know how you feel...sorry to hear about the hard time. Ebay is very hard these days for newbies and when you have paypal also giving you a hard time it's very discouraging. I had a neighbor not too long ago list his guitar and his wife's coach purse on ebay just to get rid of the items and he got ban for life for not having the certificate of authenication for a coach bag. It's pretty riduculous.

If you have the money to keep trying and learning go ahead but it may be a long road to get it going and even then profits may still be next to none. Don't blame yourself most of it is due to scammers but it hurts everyone. Now ebay and paypal seem like they are out to get everyone they can except powersellers.

You could try and BUY an established ebay/paypal account already verified and see if that works. But really if you're not ready to continue to do lots of research and go through the pain before the glory, including losing money pain, then in my opinion I'd try other auction sites like ioffer, amazon, etc and see if you have any luck there. Also research other payment processors like alertpay and paymate.

It's a hard game all the way around though and could still be costly. If you make any efforts to buy and sell locally offline that will be the easiest and less costly. Such as craigslist.

Whatever u do, goodluck

Thanks,
I already tried everything that you mentioned, but let's say the truth: the real traffic of buyers, it's on ebay....

I lost many accounts... and I don't know how to handle those ebay shit
I think it's time to move on

I feel you. I'm on my 4th ebay account already in 2 years. I'm in the process of trying to creating my first website. With your own website you are in total control. I suggest you try to learn as much you can about creating websites.

All you have to do is start out very slow selling stuff that is not part of VERO. Start using a few accounts so you can age them and always have backup accounts.

Learn SEO and build your own website. I sold on eBay for about two years (chinese phones and memory cards) and now I have my own websites, i've always wondered why I ever stayed with eBay !

I think in the long term you'll be more successful with a website of your own , especially when it comes to getting return customers.

Of course there are many advantages with your own website .... you do not have to pay fees like on eBay, nobody will take anything down etc

However, when it comes to buyers, how do you get traffic to your website that ebay already has? When selling on eBay, I always get views to my listings. However, with your own website its way more difficult. I sell a product on eBay and also have a website for the same product. On eBay, each auction is well viewed and I always sell the item. However, on my website I did not sell anything up to now. Site has been up for about 6 weeks. It is indexed in Google. However, problem is when it comes to ranking. It cannot be found on first pages .....

So if you have the possibility to rank on first Google page, then selling on own website is better than selling on eBay. But if you do not have this possibility, you can forget to sell anything ....

Not everything is VERO .... what items have you been selling?
But eBay has strange policy sometimes .... I tried to sell a PS3 controller, not wireless but USB .... I mentioned about hundred times that it is NOT original Sony, that it is NOT dualshock 3 etc.

However, they took the listing down and informed me that this item cannot be sold on eBay because Sony objected to it. However, that was ONE SINGLE item. I see other sellers with SAME product selling hundreds ....

I had same issue... chinese sellers selling same items than me with zero feedback, and selling like 10 of the same items in 1 day...

Not everything is VERO but if is branded, it could be marked as vero, if it's not branded... so no sells, unless, you have a hot item that is not branded.

I'm thinking to not be a seller anymore, and goes for CPA, adsense, whatever...

I have an ebay account with 60 positive feedback.. no negatives at all.. was created in 2002.. and was listing items for a dropshipper and after I sold all the items I could in the month I had around 3k sitting in paypal and they put a 90 day hold on my paypal money. Tried calling paypal 3 times and asked to speak to a manager.. the third time they said I called them one more time they would add an additional 90 days so I couldn't access the funds for 180 days.

it's just impossible to do anything on ebay. they collect on selling fees, then collect on paypal fees, then lock your paypal account so they can collect interest.

it's ridiculous.

I agree

They are trying not only ruin people lives but they are going to ruin themselves.

eBay isn't nearly as user friendly as they once were, but this is a blessing in disguise. A lot of profit is lost on eBay by competition that are not fully aware of the costs of shipping and the cost of fees and in result sell items at a price in which offer no profit.

About sums it up. eBay used to be a real auction site, now it's just a traditional advertising site (upfront fees to list, more fees whether or not the item sells, etc.) that defeats the whole point of selling by auction, as opposed to just placing an ad on Craig's List. Add the monopolistic payment Preypal set-up that can hoard your money at any time for interest purposes, and the one sided policy that only protects buyers most of the time, and you have a system that has become more trouble than it's worth.

Since all it is now is a glorified paid ad site, why not pay a one fee and be done with it? I only use its classifieds section to take advantage of the traffic there these days.
