I got scammed in Flippa :(

Guys I need to know something, in my first bidding and winning I made the dumest mistake of sending 200 bucks for a website I won, but the dirtbag didn't not send any website or info, I already filed a dispute with paypal
and reported him in flippa, can I expect any progress in getting my money back?

Even if you get the site, chances are all the screenshots are fake anyway...That's just Flippa...

Flippa don't take any liability in this situation. What they will do is contact the seller and ask for their side of the story. They then get 72 hours to respond. If they don't respond, they will get banned.

Not much they can/will do about your money though.

Paypal, on the other hand, may well give you your money back. Did you send the payment as goods? Tell them you bought a physical item and it was never delivered - this is usually the best way to win a dispute.

The site has to belong to him because you have to verify a site when you create an auction. You should post the site here when you get your money back so we can mess that thing up good and proper

He's just screwing with you. To prove defamation (in the US anyway...) he'll need to prove damages and that you conveyed a false statement to a third party. If you have been telling the truth to all of us the whole time you have nothing to worry about IMO.

When you are verifying claims, don't always discount a site if a seller has misrepresented something.

If you find that they have claimed $100 a month, and it actually shows $50 a month, you have some considerable leverage.

I've picked up some great deals where the seller has lied about stats, and I've effectively persuaded him/her into selling the site to me at a huge discount rather than being exposed for attempting to scam people.

It's quite common for sellers to overplay numbers on smaller sites, as buyers in this price range often don't do their due diligence due to lack of experience, or lack of time.

Simply make a charge back on Paypal. Explain to them that it's a physical good since the site isn't really virtual in the real sense because you get to see it and interact with it...

Paypal should sort you out and probably nail the guy.
