So far two of the 5 people have expressed interest in on going work. Hopefully I can get at least 1 of them, both would be good, but 1 would be fine.

Short term thinking eh?

You've already expressed your opinion in this thread, why are you still here? Some people are interested in what he has to say. I actually agree with what you have to say about it not being worth it unless it's completely outsourced but he's using it more as a upsell then a money maker which isn't short term thinking in my opinion.

Because he mentioned my thinking was short term, then he reports he made 3 sales, for a total of $12, probably spent more on eating since then. I agree Fiverr can be used to lead to other work, but I really don't see it ever producing real results (unless you completely outsource it where you don't even log in, which will be short lived as they will eventually start putting up their own fiverr jobs and eliminate you).

Sure you can make $20/hour or even $60/hour at some points, but over a course of a year I'd be surprised if you pulled anywhere near $30k, and that's what is important in the end. If someone can make it work, great more power to them, I just think going to Fiverr to build a "business" is like going to the stock market with $10 and expect to be Donald Trump.

Just my opinion, I respect those who make it work and I could be wrong. Just seems like chasing small potatoes with too much labor and no scale.

Yeah I agree with what the above guy said and I was about to say it myself. You've expressed your opinion and I've expressed mine.

Clearly you still don't see how a sales funnel or lead generation works and that you can't always sell somebody something that costs $250+ right off the bat.

So I'd appreciate it if you just let the people who want to watch/read this thread, read it, without having to read your little interruptions every few posts on how a Fiverr sale isn't worth it, because I'm sick of explaining how it can be valuable, how it can be scaled and how it can be outsourced.

So thanks for your interest and I wish you success in making fortunes by not making small sales and turning them into bigger sales, you must be awesome.
:You_Rock_

With some reviews starting to come in, sales increasing again. I've also started adding some more gigs to try and increase customer base.

Ebay doesn't seem to be doing anything so I'm going to muck around with some listings to see if that does anything.

WTF!!!
can anyone explain about this...

i had something like $240 and went to withdraw it. i needed to change my paypal account and under my info, it freely let me do this. i needed to change it because my one paypal had been limited. so after changing it i withdrew, but the money still went to my old account. i was like wtf, so i sent a refund and wrote them asking why it went to my old account.

i was informed that according to their tos, you cant change your paypal or issue a refund. of course it didnt say that on the page that freely let me change my paypal address.

i got a response saying they can not accept refunds as their system is not set up for it. it was a paypal issue. i talked to paypal and they informed me that the money was indeed refunded into fiverr's account and that they cant reverse refunds once they are in the account of the party receiving the money. fiverr would have to resend the money.

fiverr said it sucks to be me. then they closed my account which had $90 in it

The point is to generate leads, not to make $4. Why do you think web hosting companies pay a $100 commission for a $3/month hosting sign-up? Because they bank with upsells.

The point is someone who is outsourcing their SEO efforts to a $5 a job site, isn't likely to spend all that much on upsells. Sure they will buy a $10 service, but I don't see them spending $5k or enter into a $1,000+ /month contract. In the end, small potatoes, and most people will not make jack over the course of a year.

That being said, I am sure there are a select few using it with great success and actually do really well.

Nothing against Fiverr, the customer base using it are not big spenders (as a whole, again there is a select few that will).

Fiverr would be great if they actually paid you lol

I've made some cash here n there on fiverr but NEVER receive a confirmation email for withdrawal.

Seems to be an ongoing problem with lots of other people too.

Messaging Service does no good either, as I get no response.

So good luck to those that try it, hope you have better luck with them.

let me quote myself :)
i've never had a problem withdrawing money from fiverr
i activated the damn quickpay feature which was suggested in another thread, it's basically authenticating your paypal with fiverr, however i've never had a problem before this and i made a few withdraw requests until now, let's say around 20
and i've never had a problem with their support either, if i asked something, i always got my answer/help in a few hours time

fiverr is a great money earner for anyone who can provide something that takes 5 minutes to create and is a big seller. Specialized website templates was great, until the competition got fierce.

Another thing with fiverr is patience, I've stuck a gig up and heard nothing for 2 weeks, then all of a sudden orders will start coming especially when positive feedback arrives. It is amazing looking at your gigs stats how many people do actually take a look at your gig, without much promotion on your part.

You are seriously just being an asshole whether you see that or not. You've stated your opinion, we get it, about a dozen times and your really just wasting space and time in this thread so how bout just quit? Go bitch and hate in your own thread if you want.

It only takes ONE new client to lead to a wildfire of word of mouth referrals. That ONE client could come from fiverr or anywhere else.

OP, how are you working the upsell so that you don't get banned right away? I plan on creating my first gig for some lower end stuff ($5 fiverr hook) tonight, so I'm unsure how to work this upsell into my sales funell (IE my seo site which offers various services at a higher price)

Thanks

Ah, if you think you cant earn money on fiverr. you are wrong.

- I started on fiverr in november last year. I was new to web design so I posted a gig - I will design a 3 page website for you for 5 dollars.

like, i saw. one person was selling Linked IN Connections. Which we have freely available on BHW. Download those files, and promote your gig. today, everybody want to get linked in connections.

Sell Twiter followers - use twiends. :)
Linked in files?! Where? I never seen those

I agree some stuff that was mentioned. Heres some of my experience to add on to what the OP just shared.

It takes about 14 days to complete the transaction after each sale to your money to clear.

-If you are going to pick and create gigs 24 hrs, know you can deliver them within the short span of time. (Tip: any auto software which can be done 5 mins)
-Start with the easiest gigs to pick up, video testimonials, seo tips, etc
-Use the money to start threads on forums like bhw,dp,warrior forum for your own services.
(Tip: You`ll see far better results by offering your services for reviews, then promote accordingly)

Fivver can be a lead generation tool, or small money to start bigger things.

Thank you for sharing so much. Just wanted to know how do you download the streaming flash vidoes?

Ah, if you think you cant earn money on fiverr. you are wrong.

- I started on fiverr in november last year. I was new to web design so I posted a gig - I will design a 3 page website for you for 5 dollars.

within one day, i had 1 order. I am not a coder and dont know shit on html. :) So, I use the WYSIWYG softwares like. - xara web designer, serif web plus 4, and wyswyg web builde 7.5 ( currently i use it). Left the first two as they lack features.
Now I have few of my clients become dedicated clients.

- So, my first order was for a small website. I did it. That lady paid me 20$ for my work, instead of $5. As, she liked the website, and I helped her on uploading it to her server too. ( she was blonde).

As i use WYSIWYG softwares - it took me only 2 hrs to create those three page website. :) I was happy. and I got into twiends, and got lots of twitter followers. And started promoting my gig there. And soon i started getting orders. :)

So, from that time, i started getting clients for web design. and i earned decent from them. Most of my clients paid around 20-30 dollars for the sites, as they really liked it. Mind it - in wyswyg softwares it take only 1-2 hrs to create a 3 page website. PM me if you want to see the samples. He he.

- Then I started logo design too :D - I am not a graphic designer - so I downloaded softwares like AAA logo designer, logo maker, etc. Played with them for some time, and here we go. I started getting few orders in it too.

- Then i started, selling few ebooks - only got few orders.

Got few orders for providing seo reports - used ALexa IPB for it (cracked). :D

-my finaly blast of orders came from - the website - worldsgreatestbusinessmind - open this site and u ll find the video where people can have their name on this funny video about worlds greatest business mind. I started doing this for people. :D Just record the video. I started getting around 7-10 orders in a day for it.

Ah, during this time, i made a mistake. one of my friend on fiverr wanted to know some method to earn money. So, I told him some other gig sites, and odesk, etc through message on fiverr. :D And FIverr closed my account. hu hu hu. :(

Now as i have already made some dedicated clients for my design, who pay me alot for their design needs. I dont really care about
--------

I am not boasting of myself. I am trying to say is that, anyone can earn money on fiverr. if you are creative. If you are not making any money, just like i was in november. FIVERR is the best place for you to earn money.

- like, site design - people on fiverr dont accept you to give them high quality website for $5.00. and when u give them, they get happy and pay you more. First you can use cracked version of xara web designer - or serif web plus to make sites - and when you have earned enough money, you can buy better tools. I did the same. Further, as you ar cheap, many outsource their clients to you. LIke one of my client does now.

ANd they are good to create a porfolio for you too. :)

- there are so many tools and ideas. Just check the featured gigs. Most of the featured gigs in fiverr are the one anyone can do. YOu dont need special skills.

like, i saw. one person was selling Linked IN Connections. Which we have freely available on BHW. Download those files, and promote your gig. today, everybody want to get linked in connections.

Sell Twiter followers - use twiends. :)

One of my friend provide facebook friends. lol. What he did was he opened an account with facebook with name - Pamela Anderson - and few half naked pics of that whore. And got around 4000 friends. Now, if he get any order for facebook friend. He suggest his friends to add that person.

Or steal others ideas. :) Like i always do. he he.

Dont be negative - you arent loosing any money there. The one dollar they charge is just their fee. you still get 4$. :) Gaypal do steal 0.8 dollars.

Personally speaking,Fiverr is doing great for me.People say what is the worth of $4 per sale. But seriously I take on average 10-15 orders per day on different accounts.Which makes average $55-$60 per day.And tell you what, most of the gigs I offer, are as simple to do as Google search.I use online tools and some files stored on my PC only.So hardly any efforts are needed.

What kind of service do you sell on Fiverr? At the moment I primarily do content writing but that has only made me $1,000 in the last 6 months. :(
