You sayin' you built that entire site for 3 lousy Amazon links? A book, a bottle and a rubber ring? All placed way down at the bottom of the page? I bet you could've made SOMETHING from adsense. I mean it looks like a nice site, but I hope you've changed your focus.

I've not replied because i'm not continuing with the case study. I've pulled this project and want to test something else.

I was using Market Health to monetize, but now i've switched to amazon and i'm testing the conversion rate.

This is because I believe Market Health were shaving many of my sales.

I hate unfinished case studies, and the OP isn't going to continue...

...so I ran the site + original KWs through rank tracker, and the results are mostly pretty positive.

I am guessing the KWs are pretty tough (I didn't bother checking). Most of the KW went up a few notches. the one that was at #1 is still at #1, only 2 went down (one dropped off the top 100, the other was only down 2)

Conclusion: well, he may have done more things to it, but whatever, the site was NOT hurt.

I know I said this case study wasn't going to continue because I now still have a use for the website.

But I thought I should mention that I just created 20-30k comment spam backlinks direct to the site. I used about 5 different comments and 10 different anchor text.

When I use Google.com hemorrhoid symptoms is position 12. I'm trying to keep an eye on that particular keyword as a benchmark.

Word on the street is that it will go down and then bounce back up. We shall see.

The site disappeared for a week, then reappeared a couple of days ago with the same rankings as before.

I'm now blasting it in part of an xrumer package. 3,500 forum profile links directly to the site. Also runs of EVO2, some more AA comment spam.

I always told people NEVER to go this far, so i'm way above what I would call "excessive". I've never hit a website hard enough to make Google drop it for a week, but it bounced right back up.

The current result is that overall the site's rank has INCREASED from the start point.

However, it has refused to move from its current position except for last week when it went missing. It has now bounced back into the same spot.

If anyone else wants to chip in then please do. Just make sure you use either "hemorrhoid treatments" or "hemorrhoid symptoms" as the keyword otherwise we won't be able to track it properly. I'm only really watching those two.
