"Gift" is German for "POISON"!

Watch out because if your PayPal account gets "limited" for any reason at all, PayPal "Security" may write a nastygram to your bank!

PayPal is now limiting new accounts sending and email beginning with this:

"We have noticed unusual activity in the bank account connected with your PayPal account....."

(1) This was done on a NEW PayPal account which had been loaded with a mere $25 USD and had NO transactions at all run through it!

(2) PayPal cannot see shit on your bank account activity, so PayPal is lying.

(3) PayPal then freezes and holds the funds until you have provided(From the PayPal email!):

"Dear (Person We Are About To Fuck.),

We're sorry, but your account access limitation cannot be lifted at this
time. We need more information about your account before we can restore
full access to your account. Please complete the steps below so that we may
review your account further:

To fulfill your name change request, please provide the following
documentation to confirm that you have a current relationship with the
business:

Some form of proof, which contains both the business name, as well as the
individual's name that will be added to the PayPal account. Acceptable
forms of proof include Articles of Incorporation or the equivalent, current
business license, any business documents/forms approved by and filed with
the business's governing state, or a bank statement for the bank account
registered on the PayPal account.

*Please note that if the statement does not display your name, then you
will also need to provide a copy of the signature card as proof that you
are an authorized signer.

A valid photo ID for the new contact person. We will accept a driver's
license, passport, or any other state or government issued photo ID.

*If the photo ID does not show the address listed on the PayPal account,
please include a recent utility bill in the new contact person's name that
matches the address listed on the PayPal account.

- Submit a copy of your monthly statement for the bank account ending in
XXXX. The statement must show your name, address and account number exactly
as they appear in your PayPal account.

- Submit a copy of a current utility bill. The bill must show your name and
address exactly as they appear in your PayPal account.

- Submit a copy of your driver's license/passport. Please make the copy of
this as large and as light as possible.

You can upload the information requested or fax it to us. To begin, visit
the Resolution Center and click Resolve under Steps to Remove
Limitation.
If you are faxing information, you must use the cover page provided by
PayPal. The cover page contains information specific to you and using it
ensures that your documents are routed and handled in a timely manner. To
print the cover page, log into your account and click on the fax documents
link on the "Limited Account Access Details" page.

Sincerely,
PayPal Account Review Department"

I'm sure that everyone has seen the above email but I'll bet you haven't heard of this nifty little trick on the part of PayPal!

Now......PayPal is now also writing letters to the associated banks, suggesting to the bank that your account is engaged in "fraudulent" activity, which can result in the freezing of the bank account until you go into the bank and explain to the bank just WTF has happened.

In future, we will be using alternatives to PayPal.

i am currently using moneybookers and paypal. Don't know about moneybookers. Have a good review about Moneybookers, Uptown ?

if only everyone would move away from paypal then it would work

I have excellent experience with Moneybookers and no; I am not shilling for them!:)

I have excellent experience with Google Checkout and HIGHLY recommend them, although not as highly featured as PayPal.:)

What difference does it make that GC is not as highly featured; they don't STEAL your money like PayPal does?

Doesn't do you any good to receive payments if you cannot transfer them to your bank account!

I don't understand why someone doesn't come up with a major competition for Paypal....it seems like it would go over really well...

LOL. I don't understand with Google Checkout. But, for me, I have great experience with MB too. They don't make any noise to me, and pay my money without any hassles.

I have read a lot in

Code:
www.paypalsucks.com

i think.. forgot the name though, too lazy to check it with google, lol.
And from that time, I don't want to involve too much with paypal.

PayPal is becoming Harder day by day... Even you don't need these type of Document Verification when you apply for a Abroad Visa..

If 50% PayPalers people agree, NOT to use them. It would kill their business..

You lazy bum!:p

You got your link correct and PayPal DOES suck!:D

Make the copy of this as large and light as possible.

Someone should print their ID out over 15 pages so light its unreadable :)

Well............Veni, Vidi, Vici!

Courtesy the Poison Pill from PayPal in the last few days, I came within a frog's hair of losing my businesses today but all is well.

Have you ever SEEN a frog's hair?

That is HOW FUCKING FINE THEY ARE!

Yeah; that's what I thought and that is just how close it was!

A meeting with bank officials worked to create a complete understanding by the involved banks and approval of the continuation of my programs and services subject to certain terms, one of which was that I put up my land as collateral.

Now, you see this little bit of land has been in the family since Eighteen-fucking-fifty-three, when it was deeded as part of some long-forgotten treaty with my Native ancestors and I do not treat it lightly.

If you ask if I am speaking to you of the depth of my dedication to my program and services; FUCKING RIGHT I AM!

Each of my three corporate treasurers reaffirmed their bonds, secured by real estate, to the bank and the corporations which we establish.

Additionally, my personal accounts are secured to the corporate accounts; henceforth, strict and I mean strict adherence to the TOS will be enforced.

All is well and we be rockin' and rollin' in the USA!

(Reelin' and'a rockin'!) (Get down!)

There were some very good things which came out of this ordeal today; the various banks with which I deal are 100% solidly behind me, I can introduce a new tweak or two, I can offer some reduced costs to the end user and we get to stay in business!

("End user"? Shit, I really need to update my terminology, don't you think?)

Anyway, its all good and even better than it was before, so now it's time for a joke!

Everyone likes a little comedy relief, right?

Two guys sittin' in a bar, talkin' shit..............

First guy says to the second guy, "Dude! Do you know how to spell "PayPal"?

Second guy takes a sip and a drag, exhales and says, "Yeah! P-A-Y-PA-L"!"

First guy says, "No; you left out the "fuck!"

Second guy says, "WTF you talkin' about? There ain't no "fuck" in "P-A-Y-P-AL!"

First guy says, "Now you got it right! There ain't no fuckin' PayPal!"

oh

i don't want you to get the wrong idea; we will still offer merchant processing; just not through PayPal!

Most everyone thinks PayPal is great until they get screwed by them, ignorance is bliss. Unfortunately, its not a case of 'if' you're going to get screwed, its more like 'when' you are going to get screwed.

Since they can shut down your business at will, I've been using google checkout and safepay with no problems.

Curious as to what the best way to do this is. If you accept payments from tards that only have paypal, would the best thing to do is export it to x (google checkout, moneybookers, bank account? ) and always have that paypal with the lowest amount of money.

OK, tips of the day.......................................................

(1) If you insist on the very dangerous financial behaviour of using PayPal, get your account completely verified by PP or stop using it.

(2) Accept ONLY PP payments from other verified PP users; NEVER from an unverified user.

(3) Pay your bank whatever fee it charges to place an outgoing ACH block on the account associated with your PP account. You can then put money in but PP cannot ACH money OUT without your specific permission. All USA banks can do this but not all will, so just tell them that you are an IMer and require a higher degree of security than the ordinary account holder and the bank will usually set you up.

(4) Use a debit card associated with a second account and then as soon as PP has verified that card, close that account and cut up the card. PP will not verify again for a year or so and by then you should have a second phantom account ready to go and ready to rinse and repeat the process.

PayPal has been known to debit the bank accounts of PP account holders who have received a few chargebacks in amounts triple or quadruple the amounts of the chargebacks in order to "protect" itself against "fraud", so the ACH block can very, very important.

I am in Texas. If pay pal does this to me I WILL BE suing them for deformation of character. In my local area and I would ask for damages far beyond what I have in my bank account. This would not be hard to prove if they are sending a letter to the bank. I will also report them to any federal agencies that may regulate bank/commerce, along with my local and federal reps. If the account holders would stand up to paypal and tell them to fuck off paypal would have no choice but to leave everybody alone. The people that are selling stuff and accepting paypal as a payment method is who is keeping the in biz.

My paypal account is over 5 years old and I've never had a complaint to date. But any day I could have one. I read that there should be a competitor for paypal, well there is, the problem with the others out there is us. We as humans don't like change. But in this case we all need change. We need to change our ass away from paypal. Google check out is a good merchant service.

How does paypal pay all the good interest rates from the money market? Hell most of it is funds stolen from users. I personally know a guy that lost $3267.00 from paypal. They froze his account after selling a high end motor on ebay. He has been fighting them for 6 months. To boot this they charged his bank account for the ebay fees, when he had these fees in paypal account. Now I ask you what has that money been doing for all that time? Paypal has invested it and made money on it. My buddy filed a lawsuit alleging that paypal intentionally with held his funds from him. So far paypal has tried to get this suit moved to another state, but he managed to get that blocked. paypal also offered to settle the case already. He wouldn't accept. To this date he has not received his money. The fact that paypal offered to settled says, in my eyes, that they know they are guilty.

Now I ask you is this a company we want to do business with?

I'd say don't even let it become 'if', just get them out of your life completely. Or start arranging things to accomplish that. I've read on some of the pay*pal sucks type websites that you can usually win your small claims case if you pursue it all the way to the finish.

Who needs that aggravation?

Yeah and thanks for the input.

Court is a hassle de Luxe and who needs it?

Besides, I cannot be David to PayPal's Goliath!

I'm going to move on and earn which is what it is all about and f*ck P*yP*l!
