They realized people were sculpting Pr and changed the algo so that all links leak Pr.

Do a Google search.

I bought a slot knowing all about page rank sculpting and the change to the Google algorithm that took place in 2009. It doesn't mean the concept isn't effective, it just means it it isn't as effective as it once was. I still believe its a solid strategy that still works which is why the New York Times and Wikipedia and others employ it. If the websites built are classified properly by Google, then I have no doubt it will work. The proof will be in the pudding so to speak.

How much would it cost to create your own network of 200 sites for this purpose?

200 domain names x $9 = $1800
Dedicated hosting with a different IP address for each site? How much would that cost?

Then the time to create all the sites unless you outsource it.

I checked and i don't see nofollow on new york times. I thing i noticed is after the updates, Wikipedia is ranking no 1 for a lot of keywords.

We are building backlinks to them now, and getting all of them indexed etc.
Update is out today - all members will get onsite optimization report + update where we are.
Just give me few hours to send them out.
