Any ideas about what it is which triggers the algo to dump our sites?

my xrumer powered spam site was penalized, but my grey hat site is going stronger as ever.

I don't really care about Google updates because usually my sites always come out stronger. But the weird thing is that my 1 page spammy sites are sticking strong, yet I have a few strong websites that are greyhat which seem to be bouncing all voer the place.

I can't put my finger on the cause. None fo my clients sites are affected thankfully.
