Dropped in rankings

Other sites are reporting a Panda update 2.2 that started last night June 6th at 6:00pm.

Almost all of our link spammed sites got hit. #1-#3 for main keyword are gone. We are diversified with PPC/FB/PPV but we had some nice huge sites take a hit.

one of my worst sites is a exact match domain and has shot to #1 today from nowhere. It is my only crappy site that has 9 out of 10 pages copied from Amazon, I don't get it. I have an original high quality site with high quality links that is sitting at #645 after being at #2 for a few weeks. It has been at #645 since early April. I don't get google, they want quality but today my crappy copied not original site is sitting at #1 and the site I put a lot of effort into is at #645.....

Google has rolled out a new algorithm update.

My advice would be - DO NOT PANIC!

Don't start spamming your sites with links, web 2.0s or anything of suck kind. Wait it out. Your website will come back. One more thing, the panda update stated clearly that if even 1 page on your website is of low value (duplicate content, too little content etc) then it WILL decrease the rankings of all the pages in the SERPs.

So, instead of getting backlinks, improve your website and add MORE original content to it. You will be back!

All my sites that are loaded with content and have thousands of links have dropped and the ones that have little or no content and only bookmarks have risen in the ranks. Who knows what is going on? I just keep building and hope things work out.

Could you please explain? I have some duplicate content and they started showing up again not more than two weeks ago when they had disappeared for 2 months...how do you explain that?

You need to improve your key word count for better indexing. For this purpose you can follow the SEO techniques. The On page SEO is easier to get the result.Off page methods are time taking. So, you will get the results in late. But they are effective.

Hopefully we will get back. Otherwise I only can think to another Panda or who knows what prehistoric animal Google unleashed over our websites again. If it's a zoo garbage of G then we are fucked.

Yes, it can be a Tyrannosaurus Update.

I'm in the same boat.

On June 5th one of my sites dropped 30 spots for every single keyword targetted. ALL the links are Whitehat and relevant.

Yeah, I got smacked pretty hard but I'm still going to keep building links and hopefully I'll come back stronger.

Is there a way to tell in Google Webmaster Tools (or elsewhere), which page(s) are causing the drop in value because of duplicate content / too little content?

I didn't see anything listed under the "diagnostics" tab and it's kind of hard to tell which page(s) could be the cause when your site has 100's of pages.

Thanks.

google seems to have a life of its own dont worry about the move , they should bounce back

Fucking Panda strikes again.... 6 of my website dropped from rankings, and i cannot find them anymore....

i am sure it`s not some strange dance... hope it is... but...

...so ... let`s get back to work... again... and again :)

its hit 1 of my sites havent done any backlinking to it in like 2 months was page one for like 10 differnt keywords 2 days ago boom no where to be found for any keywords total whitehat site has alot of content none dupe content hopefully will come back

Join the fucking club!!

Google is doing really crazy stuff right now. They did their first panda thing end of April-beginning of March. There was something else shortly after. Last night, they made more changes. A lot of my sites jumped out of the grave and are up on page one or two again.

I don't know how long it will last though...

Google is quickly becoming the most unreliable source of traffic on the net with their inconsistency and lack of clarity on how to improve.

For those who have lost ranking can you do me a favor. Type in your domain name with out the extension and are you ontop of the search. I read on another post that this means you are penalized if you are not the first listing. Don't know if this is true or not.
