I have a site and I was ranked position number 11 for the last 2 months.

I been building links everyday, around 50-70, mix of article, forum, directory, bookmark. I have been doing this from the beginning. The keyword is in my url and my on page seo is A+. I added 3 .gov sites today and my rankings dropped to position 126.

When I look at the first two pages now there are sites I have never seen and some of these sites have errors on their pages etc..

Has anyone experienced this before.

Well...same here. I had a good ranking on a tough keyword for one of my adult sites and yesterday I was ranking #12 in G. Today it is gone. Not present even in the 1000 search results. Dunno what's going on G dance or sandbox but i will just continue to keep building links in a more agressive way for this keyword.

A little delayed, but sounds like a Google Dance.

Same here, a very hard keyword with a very new website, i was ranked 22 and i drop until no where. I think there is a google dance on my site, cause other keyword doesn't move.

No reason to freak out, because you have a bit of G. dance. If you stayed on pos for 3-4 weeks, then would I try to find out what's wrong!

I didn't notice until you quote it :)

Indeed they changed it since yesterday^^

I used google thousand of times since yesterday

thanks for the responses, I will wait it out to see if it is the google dance. Right before it happened I did notice my keyword move to the first page to position 10 then it started heading the other way to position 126. I just checked it and it has not moved.

Hopefully we will get back. Otherwise I only can think to another Panda or who knows what prehistoric animal Google unleashed over our websites again. If it's a zoo garbage of G then we are fucked.

no, no one here has ever seen a dance in rankings. thanks for the post.

sometimes i can strangle google, but there the big dog in town. you have to go thru them if you want to do well. sigh..

Something is definitely up at Google..looks like another update. One of my sandboxed sites seems to have finally come out of the black hole. But, all the other sites in my portfolio have taken a bad hit for no reason at all.

It's like Google hires people to mess with webmasters. Their ad should be something like

Wanted
Webmaster Torturer at Google Inc.
Should be able to provide high quality stress and frustration for the average webmaster
Should also be able to give them sporadic but temporary joy to keep them interested in Google
Should be an asshole

Thanks - Google

lol yeah they probably do this just for fun at this point they are making so much money

What I have noticed is that the keywords that use to register as medium difficulty are now extremely difficult on traffic travis and the keywords that were relatively easy are now medium difficult.

Its simple enough, your links have been devalued, because either you have shown irregular link building patterns or your site is too thin. More diverse links and lots of them will fix it for now but not for long, your site should have plenty of helpful content and cater to the person searching your keyword(s).

It's Google dance. It happens to my sites frequently but they usually come back better in ranking. So I no longer worry about that.

Can anyone with experience of link velocity please explain how this could effect your site

Don't know what you are trying to say:confused:
