Hello.
I've been doing SEO for clients, that one I will show everythink done so far. If you have any questions or opinios please input. Lets start.

Start date: 2011, april 5.

The keyword: Geo targeted business, the city have two word and the business one.
eg. new york buffet, restaurant los angeles, san francisco bakery

For the example I will use "buffet new york" but inst the real one.

Competition:

without quotes (buffet new york) : 594.000 results
with quotes: ("buffet new yourk"): 21.000 results

1st result: A 3 year old domain business directory site, the page have the kw at the title, meta kws, description and URL. Its a Joomla site using JoomSEO.

The page are a listing of about 17 new york buffets linking each one to their own in site page.

2nd result: A 5 year old domain. Its a competitor site, I dont know how that guy come to the 2nd spot. The site only have the kw at the description and its at separated words such "in new york is the best place and blalala...buffet". Its a flash website!

The Old Client Site: 1 year old domain with 5 html pages without any SEO.

Thw New Client Site: I've installed Wordpress and all the pages now redirect to it. Free template without any modifications, the permalinks are changed to show title.

The plugins:

All in One SEO Pack
Anti-Captcha
Contact Form 7
Easy WP SEO
FancyBox Gallery
Google XML Sitemaps with qTranslate Support
KB Robots.txt
Redirection
SEO Friendly Images
SEOPressor UNLIMITED
SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2

Slideshow Gallery 2
WP-Cumulus
WP Super Cache

In Site SEO:

- 154 pictures
100% with the kw at title and description
less than 10% with the kw at ALT

- 20 posts
50% are just a picture with the title
50% are with pictures and 50-200 words articles

- 8 categories
Each one with secondary kws: anniversay, marriage, party, debutant, corporate, events, betrothal and one with the main kw (the 50% of the posts with images and titles only get here)

- 6 pages
Contact, localization, gallery, menu, testemonials and the
Home
: (main kw title and optimized 320 words text with 3.2% kw density also kw with h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6, meta tags, meta description, URL, bold, italic, underline, at the start and the end of the text.

- 80% of the content was made at the 1st week and I keed adding more content (1 or 2 times a week).

Off Site SEO:

- Registered the business at google maps, google sent a mail to the address with the PIN to activate.

Link Building:

Web 2.0 pages:

- Squidoo: 878 words lens with translated conted about the niche. h1, h2, URL and links to the site with the kw

- Blogspot: 499 words translated content one page blog with, h1, h2, h3, underline, bolt, italic, title, liks to the site, URL, start and end of the text with the kw

- Reddit: Link to the site in title and URL with the kw

- Webs: One page site with 457 translated content, h1, h2, h3, underline, bolt, italic, title, URL and links to the site with the kw

- Jimdo: One page site with 701 translated content, h1, h2, h3, underline, bolt, italic, title, URL and links to the site with the kw

- Quizilla: 177 words story with title, h2, bolt, italic, underline and link to the site with the kw

- Wordpress: 565 words one page blog with translated content, h1, h2, h3, underline, bolt, italic, title, URL and links to the site with the kw

- Digg: Link to the site with the kw

- Delicious: Bookmark link to the site withthe kw

- Facebook: Profile creation and 50 friends added, link to the site

The 2.0 link whell:

Squidoo -> Blogspot -> Reddit -> Webs -> Jimdo -> Quizilla -> Wordpress -> Digg -> Deliciouns and Squidoo

All the sites have a link to the main site with the same kw , im thinking if i did it right or its better to mix the kws with variations...

Black Hat:

Scrapebox comments to the web 2.0 site, not to the main site. 1 blast only until today.

Today used tools:

I've found that ping tools in the forum and used it:

Results at 2011, Jun 04.

5 place of the 1st page to the kw - google maps result.
Also we have pages of the site and web 2 pages at 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 pages of results.

I want to dominate the 1st page, I mean, register neighborhood homes at google maps and rank with more pages of the site. I got about 15% or more of all results for google pages 1-6.

The next steps will be find more web 2.0 sites and scale it up.

I dont know why the 2nd result with a very poor SEO site are ranking so well.

I dont know if I missing somethink, if so, please advice.

The client has getting several calls, he told me.

Questions and opinions are ever welcome!

Regards and with more results I'll update.

From 2 to 30 uniques/day in a mounth.

excellent example of basic work on a simple web site and focusing on the niche it has.

You are redirecting pages to the wordpress blog. You mean you registered a new domain and and are redirecting pages to it. So while link building, you are using old domain name only or a new domain also sometime.

2nd result: A 5 year old domain. Its a competitor site, I dont know how that guy come to the 2nd spot. The site only have the kw at the description and its at separated words such "in new york is the best place and blalala...buffet". Its a flash website![/B]

I have seen this a lot of times and the only common pattern I have recognized is the age of the site. You could ask your client to prepaid his domain for the next 5-10 years, as G will notice this information.

BULLSEYE !!!.

my notes about duration of registration within the .com and .net ( and might apply to .info also ) as seen by google search engine ....few white hat tricks to share

a) if you want first page quicker than most try 3 or 5 year registration ( the short term return is rather high so it's worth while ) I get onto the top 20 quickly and my adsense is already paying off.

b) you can hit page 1 with a 1 year, but it will get sand boxed quickly and take a while to get out.

c) 2 year registrations still get you sandboxed, but not as long as a 1 year, but if it's long term development project after the 18th month you have a growth spurt

NOTES: I work on long term projects that have steady cyclical income patterns, therefore understand some of the simple SEO stuff from the start is very important.

Awesome case study man, the thing which counts is, you can easily rank new sites within a month with regular link building.

Its the same domain. I just created a /website to wordpress and the /index.html, /home.html, /contact.html, etc. now redirect to /website.

Im also think its about the age of the site. Thanks, I'll do this.

We registered the domain for one more year only, and the contract are for one year too but I'll explain about that and try to go more long term.

Its truth. And the best think of all its you still getting paid when the job get done.

I think the work got about 8...12 hours and some SB blasts

be careful about seo search terms tagging 2 plugin. use twitterfeed, ping.fm and some related services.

I've used that plugin once and got to 15k to 300 uniques a day in 24hrs. But the site still indexed.

What twitterfeed and ping.fm can do to make it work better?
Thanks

no offence dude, you have the right attitude to post stuff like that here (i encourage it), but it makes me always laugh when people say they are seo consultants or have "clients" and the first thing they post is:

"keyword A" = 25.000
keyword A = 1.200.000

people with REAL seo knowledge don't even look at this, it's bollocks and represents NADA...

It makes you look less credible by the way, All what matters are the first 3 spots of the first page which you did look at = good.

Awesome case study.

Question;

1) is it better to have a site with 'more pages' other than just 1?
Is it easier to rank that way?

2) is there a wordpress (all-in-one package etc.) that can install both template and all those plugin at once? (or did you simply installed them one-by-one yourself?)

Thanks

1) google rank each pages not the site, i've already got the home at 1st google page now i will go to make other pages and web 2.0 sites rank to the 1st too. i think it is easier that way, thats why: i try to rank several pages with the same kw, with the google dance i see different pages of the site ranking and moving on, but the most relevant for that kw get the best position but when i need i can work more to optimize a "less relevant" page, and that one alredy get indexed at 2-5 google results pages.

2) i think the template dont matter, its just a free wordpress template, you can pick anyone from the "install themes" section from wp control panel. the plugins i've installed and configured one by one.

Thanks for the quick response.

As for writing contents for specific keywords, do you repeat them often?
For example:

1) "This apple is amazing! I like it so much"

OR

2) "This apple is amazing! I like apple so much"

If i want to rank the word 'apple'. Should i go with example 1 or example 2?
It seems to me that example 2 is pushing it a little? Does it matter to google at all?

Thanks for the Case Study, this helps me as I am trying to rank a few of my own personal business sites for a couple local keywords with exact domain name match, just using the knowledge I have picked up here from BHW, a few questions if you don't mind (sorry some are pretty basic) ---

-On SEO Pressor: Do you shoot for 100% score on your articles? What % for KW density?

-Do you put any video on the page?

-When you mention you have 154 pictures are all of those pictures all in the content of the site or banners/headers?

-What theme are you using for wordpress?

-On your web 2.0 pages, do you just put a spun article for content on all of them with the same keyword your trying to rank for, or is each web 2.0 page vastly different? Did you make all the web 2.0 accts and content manually or with an automation tool? I am about ready to start my web 2.0 process myself and a bit lost on what to put on each page, I see you mention h1,h2, underline etc all the things SEO Pressor helps you do, would it be smart to write an article in wordpress get 100% score with SEO Pressor then copy paste that article into the web 2.0 accts? Or does the content need to be unique on each web 2.0 acct?

-Is your order of your link wheel you showed, exactally as shown here? Squidoo links to the blogspot, blogspot links to Reddit etc? Which one links to your main money site?

Squidoo -> Blogspot -> Reddit -> Webs -> Jimdo -> Quizilla -> Wordpress -> Digg -> Deliciouns and Squidoo

-How big was your scrapebox blast? How many approved links?

Thanks, keep us posted with your results!!

Example 1. At the 2 you have about 33% kw density, its too much.

The info are about the home page:

- SEO Pressor Score: 97.78% , kw density: 3.2%

- No videos but I want to do it

- All images in the content

- Theme: Q-press 1.0.2 but i think it inst mandatory, i used that theme bcz the colors combine with the business of the client

- All different content. The site isnt in english so i've just google translated wikipedia and other sites content about the kw, i've just changed the word "buffet" from the articles to "buffet new york", sometimes i used to tranlate russian, dutch and other langs content to mine. A squidoo lens copy/paste/tranlated conted rank at the 2nd page, the h1-h4, underline and etc. are the main kw and i put it elsewhere around the text, but remember when the text mention "buffet" i cange it to "buffet new york".

- Yes its exactally as shown but i think it inst mandatory. All web 2.0 sites also links to the main site.

- I've used SB and some 600k url lists but only got about 40 backlinks for the wp blog and 7 for delicuous. Right now I doing another blast, until now the SB shows 3416 successes but i dont know yet how many backlinks i get for that new blast, when it ends ill update.

Hey, did you got any solution for your client site.

What kind of solution? sorry didnt get it.

I don't use SEO pressor myself so I don't know how it calculate the kw density. But make sure that you use the kw density for the whole site (url) and not just for the article that you post.

Hmm, I never see the picture that way. Its there some tool to help or we need to do it manually?

Thanks

I use "SeoQuake" for firefox. A good and helpful plugin when you work with seo.
