In need of high pr links

There are a few people on here offering high pr links but just wondered if anyone has tried and tested people's products on here and have a positive outcome?

I'm on linkpushing at the moment, it seems to be doing nothing (3 months down the line) and this is with 4 sites, different keywords and around 20 pushes each. My concern is that none..apart form 3 links!!!! have been indexed. Now I know some people say "it doesn't matter that it's not indexed" but I beg to differ. All of the "check your backlinks" programs grab them from indexed backlinks yes? so why wouldn't google do the same? I see competitors with 1000's of indexed backlinks, not secret bs backlinks that no one can see.

So people, tried and tested services with good pr ranked backlinks.

You bought 20 pushes for 4 sites yet you do not say how you used them. Unless you used 1 keyword per push you would not get 20 pushes each in 4 months for 4 sites. You also left out all the other parameters that go into the whole thing like competition, how many keywords etc.

I also see that you do not understand what Indexing means. Just because you do not see the link when you search link:mysite.com that is not checking to see if it is indexed. Looks like you need to learn some more.

Seemingly I need to learn some more too!
Would you mind explaining how Google knows that there's a link pointing to your site if it hasn't been crawled or indexed in any directories? I'm really interested in this because I don't see how there would be any benefit.
Or are you saying that the OP doesnt know how to check their backlinks?
From what I could tell the OP was saying that the links were not appearing on any of the methods he used to check the backlinks (eg Yahoo site explorer, Traffic Travis, etc).

I'm not disputing that the links will be indexed eventually, but I really cannot see how they'd have any benefit until they're in a directory.

To see if something is indexed you use the "site:" that will tell you if the page is indexed. If it is, then Google knows about it. They never show all the links. I have a site with 5k links in webmaster tools and 1 using the "link:" search function. The main keyword ranks #2 yet Google only shows it having 1 link.

I have another fairly easy keyword on another site where I used link pushing to rank it there (found out later it was not needed) and no links show up for that page. Yet all of page 1 and most of page 2 is covered with my linkpush articles. How did they get there if they are not indexed.

If you think about it, how do you check to see if your site is indexed? "site:mysite.com" right? Well that is how you check to see if your links are indexed also.

The 4 star and 5 star edu linkbuilding services in the "services for sale" part of the forum have been pretty useful ranking my sites.

What I said was that you do not check indexing with the "link:" function.

Yes Google does withhold data. The site I mentioned as ranking at #2 is over 6 months old. Data should have been updated by now. If they did not withhold data, then why does webmaster tools have over 5k links to the site? Same company. The only thing that you can trust with Google is where your site is ranking.

As far as Google using data from Yahoo, I don't think so. Up until recently, Yahoo was getting their search data from Google. Now they have switched to Bing. Google has it's own data.

I was sure it was the other way around... Yahoo uses Google's search technology but it's own data as far as I was aware (given that Yahoo updates its directory more regularly than Google, I'd have thought it would be the other way around) - You can see this for yourself from the fact that stuff appears on Yahoo site explorer more rapidly than on Google.

Do you have any proposed reason Google would 'withhold' information?
Do you not think it might be that the majority of the automated links produced don't get crawled for over 6 months because they're of interest to nobody?

Not trying to be contrary or anything like that, just interested as to you theories...

All of that leads me to believe that if it doenst show up in Yahoo site explorer OR Google Webmaster Tools, it isn't indexed...

Yahoo started using Google in 2000 and stopped in 2004. I was thinking it was much later than that.

As for reasoning, I don't have a clue but I do have proof that they are doing it. My guess would be to keep people like us from finding out the whole truth on how to rank. Just like they never tell us about their algorithm.

At the end of the day 99% of services here put your links on PR0 pages with zero authority, surrounded by highly spun/scraped content.

If you think this is a good way to rank for any type of competitive keyword then keep throwing your money at it, but you won't see amazing results.

If you are ready to get serious about quality links then check my signature, you won't find anything on BHW that compares in quality.

Just use google webmasters to see what links are indexed. Google does index my links faster than yahoo does.

It is possible to buy high PR links in the BST section.

But - don't expect to much. My experience is that most of the links will be deleted after a month or two. Or the links will move on to "page 2 on the blog" and you will lose the high PR page.

The best thing is to go trough the bst section and try all the providers. They all offer a small package for 5-10 bucks. Wait a few month and see what links still are alive and then use that provider.

The dude who runs this site http://vilambara.com/ does however have a good rating here on bhw.
