Well looks like I get the prize for the oldest. In my late fifties and in Australia. Got my first Tandy computer in 1982.

No - you don't. I'm in the UK and 60 next birthday. How did that happen?

Got into programming in 1970! Told DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) that one day everyone would have their own computer with a screen and printer at home. They laughed. But there again - their business got bought out by Compaq...

Wrote software that Tandy sold under their own name for the TRS-80. Imported the first IBM PC into the UK. Had dinner with Bill Gates when even Bill Gates didn't know who Bill Gates was.

Those were the days!

Phil, great stuff, I went mental on a blog recently when some whippersnapper talked about the silver surfers of 50+.
I told sonny jim that I helped install the internet before we knew it was the internet, I had a mobile phone in 1983. (actually you bought the phone and they gave you a free car to carry it around with)
I used voip in the early 90's, and used email (early Lotus Notes) before Steve Jobs sat on a beanbag with Bill. Ha look at us now.
