I wouldn't say only 20 links. I also have high PR articles, high PR blogs that I manually linked. No blasts, and nothing automated though.

This is a very solid link structure. Would my rate be closely successful as yours if i don't blast the web 2.0 with SB and Senuke, since i don't have either of them.
I've picked a keyword with 33k exact global searches. and no usual or SEO competition.

Definitely, as long as you follow the have a steady structure of decent web 2.0 properties, a few other backlinks, theres no doubt that you would see results

curious what's the best way to set this up. If you have multiple sites i'd assume it takes forever to setup 140 web 2.0 with unique content too.

This is a great post that can help a lot of users here. It's almost identical to my own SEO method and I find it pretty safe and long lasting. Using tiered buffer sites really seems to help in difficult niches to rank in.
What's the average uniqueness/quality level of your spun content? I seem to be having a hard time balancing quality versus quantity but I almost always hand-write or hand-spin content for properties I create manually since it's so much work. Would be interested in your readability quality and uniqueness as some of those properties you mentioned regularly delete anything I put on them that's spun.

Windows Live Movie Maker, just images and some random techno/deadmau5. I think having a video on your page, especially from YouTube gives off great link juice.

As far as your keyword research did you just pick out 1 keyword and on your homepage you just have that 1 article that is 700 words and optimized for that keyword? Then you created your 1st tier 20 Web 2.0 sites which you included a link back to that page (homepage in this case) once each of Tier 1 20 Web 2.0 sites were indexed (checking for indexing by doing a "site:web2.0url" in Google correct?) If not linking to your hompeage then what sort of content do you have on inner pages? Are those pages/posts optimized for various other related keywords or same main keyword as your homepage?
So 1st tier only has the 20 links to money site, then Tier 2 Web 2.0s link to random 1st tier Web2.0s (but not to money site) with one link (using your keyword you want to rank on money site), then 3rd tier 20 Web2.0's link to random 2nd tier Web 2.0's, and so forth. Then you finish all of that with SB/Senuke with all the Web 2.0 site urls. Is that pretty much how you have your system setup?
